Re: [SOGo] Best Practices on Upgrade to TB10

2012-02-14 Thread André Schild

Not tested it,
but there was already a thread on this one:

https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists/arc/users/2012-02/msg00287.html

Is something we will test in the next days, to get a smooth upgrade of the
TB users.

Or do I uninstall TB3.1 on each machine and then install TB10ESR, add

The seems cleanest, but most labor per machine.

Also, do people recommend using a new update url (updates10.php) for
the new integrator so it can push different plugins than the old tb3.1
sogo integrator? I remember doing this on the TB2->TB3 transition.

[SOGo] Best Practices on Upgrade to TB10

2012-02-14 Thread Ben Luey
I'm wondering what people recommend on the best way to upgrade users to
TB10ESR from 3.1

Do I start with having my updates.php file push the new sogo integrator
to them (while they have tb3.1) knowing that it won't run on tb3.1? Then
they do an update on TB (from inside TB) and new sogo integrator

Since the plugins are production ready now I have a question. We need to
do some more testing, mostly of the "how to update existing
installations" flavor. However when I install the new plugins, not the
preX versions, it pulls the old 3.1XX plugins from my updates server.
Could I just simply add another sub-directory to the path and put the
new ones in there so I don't disturb the existing installs until our
 testing is completed?

Basically instead of it reading like this:

 isi:updateURL="http://machine.domain/plugins/updates.php?plugin=%ITEM_ID%&version=%ITEM_VERSION%&platform=%PLATFORM%";>

 It would read like:

 isi:updateURL="http://machine.domain/plugins/10.0/updates.php?plugin=%ITEM_ID%&version=%ITEM_VERSION%&platform=%PLATFORM%";>

That shouldn't break anything existing or for the new ones should it?

however, I have tons of error in /var/log/sogo/sogo
Could not bind to the LDAP server ldap.hi.is (389) using the bind DN:

but again I can access sogo and all. I am not sure about this error. It

Is your postgres database busy? We were struggeling with high cpu usage
on our databaseserver recently, and it turned out it was a problem with
the session table growing and growing. We now run a daily deletion of
all rows older than 24 hours:

DELETE from sogo_sessions_folder WHERE extract('epoch' from
current_timestamp)-c_lastseen > 86400;

I believe there's also an index fix for this table in v1.3.12..

[SOGo] Thunderbird 10 Connector and the Calendar and Contacts Server

2012-02-14 Thread Daniel A. Mayer
Hi,

I am running the Calendar and Contacts Server
(http://trac.calendarserver.org/) to host calendars (caldav) and
contacts (carddav). I am trying to use the tb 10 sogo connector to
access the carddav addressbook. However, when I add a new addressbook
pointing to my sever, I get the following error messages for each entry
on the server when syncing:

unknown content-type: text/vcard;charset=utf-8(ignored)

I assume, sogo uses a different mimetype for its carddav entries than
the calendarserver does. Is there a way to make the mime type a config
option for the sogo connector? As far as I know there is no other usable
carddav client for Thunderbird out there.

Let me know if you need any more information. If you are interested, I
could contribute in the effort of adding this feature.

Thanks,
Daniel

Assuming your backends are not the problem, maybe try increasing PREFORK
a lot (and remember to also increase postgresql max_connections to
match). We're currently running with PREFORK=60. It's seldom that that
many processes are needed, but when the server has the resources for it
we would rather use cpu than stall the users requests.

Nah you still have 23 more to go! Let's just try not to use them though.

Also, what about the filters? On my profile my filters still work, and

there a way to import them?

[SOGo] Sogo Slow Performance

2012-02-14 Thread Khapare Joshi
Hello all,

My sogo server sometime response very very slow. I use improxy but my sogo
server is rather slow and this performance issue is random. I think
hardware spec of the server is fine. I added /etc/sysconfig/sogo
PREFORK=6.

server memory looks 1G free
CPU utilization average is arond 3-4 %

Rebooted server, restarted sogod daemon. But this is bugging me. Sogo
should be fast (:) and faster than squriell mail. What can I do to optimize
the sogo server and what are you guys doing for better performance for sogo
server, any sogo configuration parameter ? postgres indexing ? apache
config ?

By the way at present my have only 4000 users and daily login to sogo
server is around 200-300. I intened to enforce all my 15,000 users to use
sogo.

Any input on this is appericiated.

I don't see how I would use sogo-tool to specify SIEVE rules. Is it possible?

Wouldn't it be easier - if one might call THIS easy - to create a script that
POSTs sieve rules to a SOGo webservice?

AFAIK Windows Phone 7 does not have CalDAV support but it does support
Google cal (over ActiveSync I think).

There's a z-push script collection flying around. Maybe that would work.

Look in the z-push branch of the sogo repository.
Be aware that it requires much memory if you have a huge calendar
(and/or many reccuring items)

Re: [SOGo] Thunderbird 10 Extensions

2012-02-14 Thread Advrk Aplmrkt
Hi!

Thanks for your suggestions.

I just tried and two things happened:

(1) After restarting Thunderbird by following your steps, there were
TWO Personal Addressbooks that couldn't be deleted. So I created a new
remote addressbook to my CardDAV server.

(2) Clicking Synchronize pulled contacts from the server, but still
not the one that didn't sync before!!!

This seems like an "interesting" problem, but also frustrating. Does
anyone have any other ideas?

BTW I am running Thunderbird 10.0 with the just released SOGo
Connector on Mac OS X 10.6.8.

Thanks!

So We used this validator : http://severinghaus.org/projects/icv/

1st Problem :

  * When using url to validate, new line format seems bad :

Your calendar is using an invalid newline format. Make sure to use
|\r\n| to end lines rather than just |\n| (RFC 2445 §4.1
).

2nd One :

  * When using a the downloaded ics file, Something's weird with
"day long events" (events with a date but no time) .

Sorry, your calendar could not be parsed.
Error: Error was: Error at line 29: [DTSTART] Unparseable date: "20120116"
Cause: Caused by: [DTSTART] Unparseable date: "20120116"

Context for line 29:
26: CREATED:20120111T103250Z
27: DTSTAMP:20120111T103250Z
28: LAST-MODIFIED:20120111T103250Z
29: DTSTART:20120116
30: DTEND:20120117
31: TRANSP:OPAQUE
32: END:VEVENT

A way to fix this would be declaring DTSTART(line 29 ) and DTEND ( line
30) with date format :

DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20120116
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20120117

Thanks For your help

Re: [SOGo] spanish support problem

2012-02-14 Thread Dominique

Hi,

Did you update your .GNUstepDefaults file with SpanishArgentina for
SOGoLanguage since plain old Spanish does not exist anymore? That should
solve the first point.
As far as the second point is concerned, I had the same problem for
Spanish for Spain in version 1.3.11 but Francis fixed it back in
December (Message dd 14/12/2011 14:21).
Maybe you have the same problem, and Francis should have a look at it
(it's a problem in the reply module that need to be patched).

[SOGo] Nokia Lumia 800 (Windows Phone 7) and SOGo calendar

2012-02-14 Thread Peter Peltonen
Hello,

Does anyone know a way to sync Windows Phone 7 based Nokia Lumia 800
with the SOGo calendar?

AFAIK Windows Phone 7 does not have CalDAV support but it does support
Google cal (over ActiveSync I think).

At Funambol Downloads site there is "Windows Mobile (all) Source"
available but I cannot find any documentation how one would work with
that? And the only topic I found at the Funambol discussion area was
one saying that Win Phone 7 isn't supported yet...

Would it be possible to sync via SOGo <-> Google cal <-> Win Phone 7 ?

Best,
Peter

This affects only MySQL but in most circumstances. It's a JSON issue.
The fix has already been developed and 1.3.12b packages should be

If in update.php script I use http://plugins.domain.com/ then addons
are installed corectly.
But default addressbook and calendar are with url
http://plugins.domain.com/SOGo.
so I need to change its url and after this nor addressbook nor calendar
are working.

2. If in update.php I use https://mail.domain.com/plugins/ then no
other addons (connector, lightning, ...) are installed. (custom made
certificate already installedin TB10).
but in internet browser I can see in
https://mail.domain.com/plugins/WINNT_x86-msvc/ all plugins.
I need install addons manually and then addressbooks and calendar are
working as I expected.

3. how to autodeploy to TB custom made certificate?
4. howto install integrator automatically for new user? (or maybe per
system not per user).

Thanks
Valdas

[SOGo] LDAP filter

2012-02-14 Thread Bruno Lingner (Hugo)

hi list

I see some strange behaviour with the groups in sogo.
first search is using the configured filter in the .GNUstepDefaults.
then it searches again, to try to decompose it to its list of members,
but this time it doesn't use the configured filter :(
I have to set the search path to a higher level
(ou=intern,dc=example,dc=com), because the user accounts are here:
ou=personen,ou=intern,dc=example,dc=com
and the sogo groups/ressources/locations are defined here:
ou=sogo,ou=intern,dc=example,dc=com
but because we have other groups defined as e.g:
ou=sendmail,ou=intern,dc=example,dc=com
which is neither one of the objectClasses that sogo sees as groups.
the last search for looking up group members, is something like:
SRCH base="ou=intern,dc=example,dc=com" scope=2 deref=0
filter="(mail=supp...@example.com)"

and so it finds 2 results, one from ou=sendmail.. and one from ou=sogo..
therefore it doesn't decompose the groups properly.
is it possible to change the code so it searches both times
using the right filter I configured, or perhaps to search for
the full DN of the group (result of the first search) the second time?

LDAP debug info:
---> here I search for the group in the "Add Attendees" window:

Yes, I saw some of mine coming back too ! possibly they were alarms that

[SOGo] IMAP Shared folder subscription greyed out?

Hi,

maybe I missed something - in the webmailer of the three sogos 1.3.11
I administer the context menu on Mailfolders shows a greyed out (aka
disabled) "Subscription"-Entry.
The imap-server has the capabilities for sharing (Thunderbird and
Outlook can work on it), but the Webmailer not.

If its a planned feature, its ok, I want only know.

You'll have to rely on a custom migration script and use sogo-tool to import
the filters definition from roundcube to SOGo. Here's how to call sogo-tool :

# sogo-tool user-preferences
user-preferences get|set|unset defaults|settings user [authname:authpassword]
key [value|-f filename]

user the user of whom to set the defaults/settings key/value
value the JSON-formatted value of the key

  Examples:
sogo-tool user-preferences get defaults janedoe SOGoLanguage
sogo-tool user-preferences unset settings janedoe Mail
sogo-tool user-preferences set defaults janedoe SOGoTimeFormat
'{"SOGoTimeFormat":"%I:%M %p"}'

in update.php:

now i manualy install sogo integrator, and others plugins are installed
automaticaly.

Hi,
My SOGo url is https://mail.domain.com/SOGo/

1. I have problem with modification script of sogo_integrator (I test it
with pre1 ... pre4).

Thanks
Valdas
