[SOGo] 1.3.15 and attachments

2012-05-18 Thread Jean-Michel OLTRA

Bonjour,

Is there something weird with attachments, on version 1.3.15?

May 18 11:10:21 imr1 postfix/smtp[29526]: CE4882E2144: host
mx.club-internet.fr[93.17.128.86] said: 451 4.3.0 Error: queue file
write error (in reply to end of DATA command)

Same thing with another email address:

May 18 11:11:25 imr1 postfix/smtp[29217]: 825B62E2C65: host
mx.online.net[88.190.253.60] said: 451 Local Error (in reply to end of
DATA command)

These were mails with an attached png file, something very light, not a
big attachment.

Has someone already seen that with this version?

Thanks?

Dear Anand,

Actually chain of flow for mailbox.

Outlook Client == SAMBA == OpenChange [LDAP for authentication] == mapistore
== SOGo == IMAP

I think flow would be

outlook -- SOGo -- samba -- openchange --ldap --SOGo data store.

This i can say as we have to specify the server details of SOGo server in
client. But then samba need to be in between to convert so called windows
language to Unix and then needs openchange to convert the calls made to pseudo
Exchange (which is SOGo/openchange).

Not very sure as I have tried to figure out from my setup.

It will be great if can some one help on this.

Does my outlook connects sogo first; then sogo send this request to
openchange/samba4 (LDAP) and provide access to the mapi profile.

If you mean outlook, then the access goes always from outlook via

MAPI to openchange (This mapi layer requires samba4)

Openchange then connects to the authentication sources and the

different resources,

this of course then depends on what data stores you have defined.

[SOGo] Group setup help

2012-05-18 Thread Ronald J. Yacketta

Hello all!

Looking to re-configure SOGo to use Groups but seem to be overlooking
something which is preventing groups from properly working. Our LDAP
group appears to have the right attributes set as well as the SOGo
config, but when we add a group to an event it is not expanded out to
its memberUID's (or members).

Here is the test LDAP (relevant attributes) entry and SOGo config

# Test Department, Departments, potsdam.edu
dn: ou=Test Department,ou=Departments,o=potsdam.edu
mail: testd...@potsdam.edu
gidNumber: 1587
cn: Test Department
objectClass: top
objectClass: organizationalunit
objectClass: spotdepartment
objectClass: posixgroup
objectClass: extensibleobject
ou: Test Department
memberUid: fred
memberUid: bob
memberUid: joe

{
CNFieldName = cn;
IDFieldName = cn;
UIDFieldName = cn;
baseDN = ou=Departments,o=potsdam.edu;
bindDN = cn=*;
bindPassword = *;
canAuthenticate = YES;
displayName = Departments;
hostname = ;
id = departments;
isAddressBook = YES;
port = 389;
}

Also tried adding groupOfUniqueNames with member entries and still no dice.

Thoughts?

[SOGo] Windows client can't join Samba4 domain after adding dcerpc entries into smb.conf

2012-05-18 Thread Alberto Federico Turelli
Hi all,
I am trying to make a SOGo 2.0.0rc1 machine available as a fully
functional Samba4 domain controller.
The SOGo machine was built this way (instructions borrowed from the
officlal documentation, SOGo Native Microsoft Outlook
Configuration):

Ubuntu 11.10 server amd64 vanilla
Prerequisites installed
OpenChange's sogo SVN branch (r3967)
script/samba4_ver.sh modified (to get Samba-4.0.0alpha19)
Samba4 compiled, installed and provisioned
BIND 9.8 installed from Ubuntu 12.04 packages and configured as
suggested in /usr/local/samba/share/setup/named.txt
complain mode set for AppArmor (otherwise, BIND won't start...)

At this point, I can easily log into a Windows 7 machine and - after
setting the SOGo machine as the primary DNS - make it join to the
domain.

OpenChange compilation and installation works ok, then I add the
following lines to smb.conf:

### Configuration required by OpenChange server ###
dcerpc endpoint servers = epmapper, mapiproxy
dcerpc_mapiproxy:server = true
dcerpc_mapiproxy:interfaces = exchange_emsmdb, exchange_nsp, exchange_ds_rfr
### Configuration required by OpenChange server ###

From that moment on, I get the following error while trying to make a
fresh Windows 7 machine join to the domain:

RPC server not available (I get the messages 10-15 seconds after
entering the Domain Administrator credentials from the Windows
machine).

I also tried to swap epmapper and mapiproxy order in dcerpc endpoint
servers parameter (sorry, but I have no clue of what these directives
really mean), but no success.

Commenting out the three lines and restarting Samba4 makes everything work OK.

Any hints, please?

Thanks,

Alberto

2012-05-18 Thread Alberto Federico Turelli
I forgot to mention that OpenChange provisioning was done just after
installing it.

I am following the documentation, slightly adapting it to my situation
(MySQL backend, Postfix IMAP server) where I already reached the point
of making Outlook users set up a profile and use mail and calendar.

The only missing point to a fully functional domain controller seems
the unavailable RPC server.

May be. But we use a Debian stable release, not modified so often. And
we did not have those problems with previous versions.

I can see same errors on another production server, Debian Stable too,
upgraded to 1.3.15 the same day:

[SOGo] inviting groups to meetings

2012-05-18 Thread Donny Brooks
Our current setup does not allow us to properly invite groups of people to a
meeting or event by simply using their group email address. I figure this is
due to the groups are setup in /etc/aliases on our mail server rather than in
OpenLDAP. For instance if we were to send an invitation to
gro...@mdah.state.ms.us for a meeting next monday they all will receive the
email invitation but it shows:

u...@mdah.state.ms.us is proposing a meeting to the attendees. You receive this
mail as a notification, you are not scheduled as a participant.

If we were to instead have the groups setup in OpenLDAP would this behaviour
change and allow the individuals to accept/decline the invitation? Any pointers
are welcome.

Iceweasel/10.0.4

After clearing the browser cache, all went well. I had a look to the
mtime timestamp of the files: it was the one of the upgrade.

I've been trying to reproduce this issue for a while, but it simply
doesn't happen on my setup...

At least, this sequence doesn't reproduce the problem:
  1. Install 1.3.14
  2. Login, check mail, logout
  3. Install 1.3.15.
  4. *Restart SOGo*
  5. Login, check mail, logout

However, if SOGo is _not_ restarted after the upgrade, the client will
see a mostly empty page.
This is due to the fact that we moved from scriptaculous.js to jquery.js
between 1.3.14 and 1.3.15.
The running SOGo would send references to the non existing
scriptaculous.js and the client would get a 404.

Clearing the cache and doing anything on the client side can't fix this,
sogo has to be restarted.

Could this be the source of the problems you were facing?

If we were to instead have the groups setup in OpenLDAP would this behaviour
change and allow the individuals to accept/decline the invitation? Any pointers
are welcome.

Yes, SOGo would decompose the group.

objectClass: posixgroup

It could be a string case issue. Try posixGroup.
