attendence I get various results. The calendar from which I create and send
this invitation is a normal calender of the user (not shared or
bout the same as using no proxy again
(500-1000ms).

Hi Odhiamb,
I tried setting it to 128M and I tried moving it to a unix socket. Both
resulted in nothing noticable but I did not really expect anything on
the cache side since everything else but accessing mail is reasonably fast.

which is as snappy as expected.
Funny thing is, that the addressbook and calender work quite well, it's
just the email thats laggy.
any ideas what I could monitor to find out whats taking so long?
