Since I haven’t found openchange nor EAS stable enough at the time (1 year ago) iCal4OL + IMAP has been our solution for Outlook ever since. Hi Andreas. I hope you get the message that I'm responding because I sent it yesterday and it seems that has not yet been published. To verify if the problem of ActiveSync to synchronizing emails has to do with the capabilities of MailEnable IMAP server, I made a test setting another instance of SOGo pointing to a Cyrus IMAP server (which has enabled these capabilities). Here again I see empty folders in Outlook 2013. However the difference is that I see in the SOGo log other entries not previously seen with MailEnable server: Aug 08 13:07:17 sogod [12785]: 10.1.0.33 "OPTIONS /SOGo/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync HTTP/1.1" 200 0/0 0.011 - - 0 Aug 08 13:07:27 sogod [12785]: 10.1.0.33 "OPTIONS /SOGo/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync HTTP/1.1" 200 0/0 0.003 - - 0 Aug 08 13:07:31 sogod [12785]: 10.1.0.33 "POST /SOGo/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync?Cmd=FolderSync&User=dbareiro&DeviceId=388D10A98E8E47BFAC6B12D34016740E&DeviceType=WindowsOutlook15 HTTP/1.1" 200 1254/13 4.266 - - 260K Aug 08 13:07:34 sogod [12785]: 0x0x7f3496f92f50[SOGoActiveSyncDispatcher] Change detected, we push the content. I see all folders (including the ones I've created) but these are empty. You're familiar with this issue with email using ActiveSync? The test was made by a friend of mine (because I do not use Android). As I see in the logs, I think he uses Android/4.4.4-EAS-2.0. He said it takes "thousand of years" to synchronize mail folders, but always looks empty. Another person using Android/5.1.1-EAS-2.0 also told me that could seamlessly synchronize the address book and contacts. > While synching with Android a whole bunch of messages are logged like these: > [...] > Aug 05 11:24:24 sogod [1154]: 10.10.10.112 "POST > /SOGo/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync?Cmd=Sync&User=test1%40piraten.lan&DeviceId=android1422999340364&DeviceType=Android > HTTP/1.1" 200 1947/102 1.395 - - -60K > Aug 05 11:24:26 sogod [1154]: > <0x0x7f1e059c9ef0[SOGoActiveSyncDispatcher]> Change detected, we push > the content. > Aug 05 11:24:26 sogod [1154]: 10.10.10.112 "POST > /SOGo/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync?Cmd=Sync&User=test1%40piraten.lan&DeviceId=android1422999340364&DeviceType=Android > HTTP/1.1" 200 73/58 0.521 - - 0 > Aug 05 11:24:27 sogod [1154]: <0x0x7f1e059d2960[NGImap4Client]> Note: no > key found for sorting, using 'DATE': (null) > Aug 05 11:24:28 sogod [1154]: > <0x0x7f1e060b4e30[SOGoActiveSyncDispatcher]> Change detected, we push > the content. > Aug 05 11:24:28 sogod [1154]: 10.10.10.112 "POST > /SOGo/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync?Cmd=Sync&User=test1%40piraten.lan&DeviceId=android1422999340364&DeviceType=Android > HTTP/1.1" 200 4018/97 1.289 - - 536K > Aug 05 11:24:29 sogod [1154]: > <0x0x7f1e05f6c5d0[SOGoActiveSyncDispatcher]> Change detected, we push > the content. > Aug 05 11:24:29 sogod [1154]: 10.10.10.112 "POST > /SOGo/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync?Cmd=Sync&User=test1%40piraten.lan&DeviceId=android1422999340364&DeviceType=Android > HTTP/1.1" 200 53/121 0.011 - - 0 > Aug 05 11:24:29 sogod [1154]: > <0x0x7f1e0602e6e0[SOGoActiveSyncDispatcher]> Change detected, we push > the content. > Aug 05 11:24:29 sogod [1154]: 10.10.10.112 "POST > /SOGo/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync?Cmd=Sync&User=test1%40piraten.lan&DeviceId=android1422999340364&DeviceType=Android > HTTP/1.1" 200 298/65 0.079 - - 0 > [...] In my logs don't see entries with "we push of content" or "no key found for sorting": root@s18513723:/var/log/apache2# grep push other_vhosts_access.log root@s18513723:/var/log/apache2# grep push access.log root@s18513723:/var/log/apache2# grep key access.log root@s18513723:/var/log/apache2# grep key other_vhosts_access.log root@s18513723:/var/log/apache2# The rest are similar to yours entries, I think: sogo.domain.com:443 190.0.177.185 - - [06/Aug/2015:18:41:03 -0500] "POST /Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync?Cmd=Sync&User=dbareiro&DeviceId=androidc700756609&DeviceType=Android HTTP/1.1" 200 692 "-" "Android/4.4.4-EAS-2.0" sogo.domain.com:443 190.0.177.185 - - [06/Aug/2015:18:41:06 -0500] "POST /Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync?Cmd=Ping&User=dbareiro&DeviceId=androidc700756609&DeviceType=Android HTTP/1.1" 200 666 "-" "Android/4.4.4-EAS-2.0" sogo.domain.com:443 190.0.177.185 - - [06/Aug/2015:18:41:56 -0500] "POST /Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync?Cmd=Sync&User=dbareiro&DeviceId=androidc700756609&DeviceType=Android HTTP/1.1" 200 692 "-" "Android/4.4.4-EAS-2.0" sogo.domain.com:443 190.0.177.185 - - [06/Aug/2015:18:42:25 -0500] "POST /Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync?Cmd=Ping&User=dbareiro&DeviceId=androidc700756609&DeviceType=Android HTTP/1.1" 502 926 "-" "Android/4.4.4-EAS-2.0" sogo.domain.com:443 186.19.252.3 - - [06/Aug/2015:19:01:57 -0500] "POST /Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync?Cmd=Ping&User=dbareiro&DeviceId=androidc700756609&DeviceType=Android HTTP/1.1" 502 1597 "-" "Android/4.4.4-EAS-2.0" sogo.domain.com:443 186.19.252.3 - - [06/Aug/2015:19:07:43 -0500] "POST /Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync?Cmd=Ping&User=dbareiro&DeviceId=androidc700756609&DeviceType=Android HTTP/1.1" 502 1597 "-" "Android/4.4.4-EAS-2.0" sogo.domain.com:443 186.19.252.3 - - [06/Aug/2015:19:09:56 -0500] "POST /Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync?Cmd=Ping&User=dbareiro&DeviceId=androidc700756609&DeviceType=Android HTTP/1.1" 502 926 "-" "Android/4.4.4-EAS-2.0" It caught my attention that from time to time I see some hits with HTTP 502 instead of HTTP 200. Have you had any problems in Outlook using > self-signed certificates? Yesterday I configured an Apache HTTPS access to SOGo and it was great to see that Outlook could connect to the server. I had some warnings because the certificate was self-signed but after installing the certificate in Outlook, I had no such pop up. The synchronization of calendar and address book ran smoothly. For curiosity I installed Wireshark today in the Windows virtual machine for see the traffic from Outlook. I tried filtering by the servername of the SOGo server, by port 443, by IP address and I could not get packages with some of these filters. Which filter you used to isolate the packets? But now, to my surprise, I erased the ActiveSync account and after to create it again I can not synchronize data at all :-( Any idea what might be going? Even I do not see entries in Apache. Update: while I write this email I tried restarting the SOGo server and even memcached and Outlook has synchronized again. For some reason it now appears that Apache is now writing the log in /var/log/apache2/other_vhosts_access.log. I'll add CustomLog and ErrorLog directives to have separate entries in the specified files. Thanks for your time. Best regards, Daniel signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature

Anyway, I guess > I would have to see at least some entry on the Apache log. During the day I tested with ActiveSync on Android. For this I used the same username and password of login on the web interface of SOGo, the server (sogo.domain.com --- without /SOGo), and indicating port 80 and unsecured connection. In this way Android is connected successfully and seamlessly synchronize the address book and calendar. All these operations are recorded in the Apache log with /Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync entries. But Outlook does not register anything in Apache. Ie that it does not even reach Apache. I wonder if this is a problem on Outlook side (eg it expected accessed using another port) or it use some other mechanism. Any clues? Thanks in advance. In Debian the PREFORK line (PREFORK=3) was commented. So I added a line with PREFORK=20. After that, so far I have not seen lines with "No child available to handle incoming request!" >> What strikes me is that I don't see on /var/log/apache2/access.log any >> access to /Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync from the virtual machine where >> I'm doing tests with Windows. With this I can say that I see some light at the end of the tunnel :-) I also appreciate that you've taken the time to make a Wireshark capture. It was something that today crossed my mind (I was running out my choices). I'll do a test configuring the access to SOGo with https and I'll let you know the results. Yes, libwbxml was automatically installed as dependence of sogo-activesync. Hi Daniel I only uncommented the line "ProxyPass /Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync http://127.0.0.1:2/SOGo/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync retry=60 connectiontimeout=5 timeout=360" as you already did. And I add this to /etc/sogo/sogo.conf (http://www.sogo.nu/files/docs/SOGo%20Installation%20Guide.pdf pages 53/54) WOWorkersCount = 40; SOGoMaximumPingInterval = 3540; SOGoMaximumSyncInterval = 3540; SOGoInternalSyncInterval = 30; After these changes I restarted sogo, memcache and apache. My sogo.log has a lot of these messages: Aug 04 22:23:57 sogod [1808]: <0x0x7f1ce1658d40[SOGoActiveSyncDispatcher]> Sleeping 30 seconds while detecting changes... Re: [SOGo] SOGo and Outlook 2013
Hi Alain I did now. Via Outlook I'm unable to share my calendar, there is no tab to manage permissions for users (only General, Homepage and Archiving). However, if I manage the permissions and subscribe other users calendar in SOGo they are automatically shown in Outlook. See screenshots attached. Hi all. Is SOGo 2.3.1-1 compatible with Outlook 2013? I tried to add an account type "compatible with Outlook.com or Exchange ActiveSync" to synchronize address book and calendar. But Outlook try to find the server indefinitely without achieving any response. On information of the server I'm using "sogo.domain.com" and on information of session I'm using the user and password for login on the SOGo web interface. Thanks in advance!
