You also need to add an xobject of type Blog.BlogClass to your page and set the
correct “Blog type”’ xproperty to global.

[xwiki-users] Inline blog with teaser in a page

2017-01-19 Thread Canny
Hi,

I want to embed a teasered version of the blog into a page on my XWiki as it
is done on
https://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Main/News

On my page a used the same include as on xwiki.org but the blog entries are
not displayed. Just get the "xe.blog.code.notblog" message. I used the
default blog application (nothing special). Is any special
handling/configuration required to get the teasered inline blog?

{{velocity}}
{{include document="Blog.BlogSheet"/}}
{{/velocity}}

Thanks for your help.

Canny

2017-01-19 Thread [IDIS Technical Secretariat] Ricardo Rodríguez
Hi! The same code works fine in an XWiki 7.3 installation...

http://portal.idisantiago.es/xwiki/bin/view/ICT/PureDate/

Thus, "my" problem is to find where ComparisonDateTool is located in this
installation and make it works in a legacy XWiki Enterprise 2.4.30451 one.

Any help will be welcome! Thank!

Updated to 8.4.4 again, no errors seen in the distribution wizard, did
not merge/keep with any of the confilcts.

Although it showed "default wysiwyg editor" after importing the 8.4.1
admin.xar, after updating to 8.4.4, "default wysiwyg editor" was no
longer shown, and the problem remained :-(

With nothing to lose, I uninstalled and reinstalled the ckeditor
extensions, and after a ctrl+shift+r, ckeditor works :-)

Hi! I've been these last days trying to regain access to an ancient issue
while dealing with dates. Searching Jira I found this...

http://jira.xwiki.org/browse/XWIKI-5610?jql=text%20~%20%22datetool%22

... and this at XWiki Platforma site...

http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/SRD/datetool

To the best of my understanding ComparisonDateTool is implemented and
accessible through $datetool velocity variable. But I'm not able to get it
working.

This is great! Thanks so much for reviewing it and proposing ideas :)

For my knowledge, could you explain quickly how this wins 300MB (it seems
magical :))?

Also, the image take “only” 900MB (see
https://hub.docker.com/r/xwiki/xwiki-mysql-tomcat/tags/) so I don’t understand
why it takes 1.6GB for you.

Thanks a lot

Velocity is very far from supporting Java syntax. Plus here you seems
to be mixing CollectionsTool and TreeMap javadoc. CollectionsTool
contains only one getSortedMap() method and it has no parameter.

There does not seems to be any way to get a TreeMap configured with
String.CASE_INSENSITIVE comparator in Velocity. The main issue is that
you can't create an object or access a static variable in Velocity so
no way to use a method that takes a Comparator as parameter even if
there was one (which is not the case for maps).

Right now the only alternatives seems to be:
* use Groovy
* write a script service in Java that provide the feature
* patch CollectionsTool to add a way to pass a comparator to the various methods

I realised the war/xar mistake just as I clicked send...

I imported the .xar, and now in edit mode it shows default wysiwyg
editor as well as default edit mode, the only options for default
wysiwyg edit are "---" and "GWT"

Attempting to use CKEditor to edit a page has had no change.

As at least the edit mode shows default wysiwyg editor, I will try
another update to 8.4.4 and see if it improves matters, but if you
have any other suggestions on what might be tried, I would be very
happy to try them.

[xwiki-users] How to sort hashmap with velocity?

2017-01-19 Thread Pascal BASTIEN
Hello,

with velocity I have a hashmap: sort of variable with (key:value) that I want
to sort, then I use:
#set ($myHashMap = $collectionstool.getSortedMap(String, String))
$myHashMap.put('Mykey3','My value 3')
http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/ScriptingDocumentation/?url=http:%2F%2Fnexus.xwiki.org%2Fnexus%2Fservice%2Flocal%2Frepositories%2Fpublic%2Farchive%2Forg%2Fxwiki%2Fcommons%2Fxwiki-commons-velocity%2F8.2.1%2Fxwiki-commons-velocity-8.2.1-javadoc.jar%2F!%2Forg%2Fxwiki%2Fvelocity%2Ftools%2FCollectionsTool.html%23getSortedMap--

It's working well ... except with uppercase because I want a sort with
insensitive case.

I tried to decrypt Javadoc and I found I could use:
String.CASE_INSENSITIVE_ORDER
#set ($myHashMap = $collectionstool.getSortedMap(String.CASE_INSENSITIVE_ORDER,
String))
#set ($myHashMap = $collectionstool.getSortedMap(String::compareToIgnoreCase,
String)) with java8
but unfortunaly it doesn't work (I have xwiki error)

Any idea to sort my hashmap with with insensitive case?

(Unfortunaly the better way I found is an ugly way: I mix velocity with a piece
of groovy but I'm not satisfied at all because I use velocity loop and other
if.)

Thxs for any help.

It is indexed, but as part of the raw content.. See
https://github.com/xwiki/xwiki-platform/blob/master/xwiki-platform-core/xwiki-platform-search/xwiki-platform-search-solr/xwiki-platform-search-solr-api/src/main/java/org/xwiki/search/solr/internal/metadata/DocumentSolrMetadataExtractor.java#L106
. So if you have:

one {{html}}two{{/html}} three

doccontent: one three
doccontentraw: one {{html}}two{{/html}} three

So you can't have "two" without "{{html}}" ATM. Of course, you can try to
overwrite the DocumentSolrMetadataExtractor component, but I don't know if
there is a renderer that does what you wish.

Hope this helps,
Marius

You can try to import the 8.4.1 (or 8.4.4, depends which version you're on)
administration XAR (not WAR)
http://maven.xwiki.org/releases/org/xwiki/platform/xwiki-platform-administration-ui/8.4.1/
. It will probably fix the administration but I'm afraid you may have other
pages (outside the administration) that are in the same situation.

Your issue is really strange. Could you send us a screenshot of what you get
when you go to the admin page (including the URL in the screenshot)?

(You an use http://imgur.com/ for ex for posting the image)

Otherwise you could use the XWiki REST API to import the XAR, see
http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Features/XWikiRESTfulAPI#HRootresources
 (see for XAR).

However it would be better to understand what happened.
