i'm installing qmail+vpopmail+etc. and I want to know if can I use an
existing users table (the used to authenticate in my Intranet) with
vpopmail... So, vpopmail should check user and password from this
other table instead of a new one.
Is it possible...

Unless you are using --disable-root-check, the courier is being
compiled by another user...
Does the directory /home1/vpopmail/etc have the execution (x)
permission ? (It's needed to enter the directory)

Is it the authentication for POP3?
Are you using the softlimit from ucspi-tcp?
If yes, try increase the softlimit value.
See in /var/log/maillog if there's something :)
