Re: [vdr] [ANNOUNCE] 0.1.0
Hi Rene, how do you start the xineliboutput plugin? To get a true color osd, you have to start it with --hud. I think this is your problem... If this is not working, you could also try to use softhddevice as output plugin. softhddevice supports true color anyway, so you could see if you have another issue maybe... Regards, René On 13.03.2013 16:52 , Stefan Braun wrote: Hi, One additional technical remark: the skin uses intensively the eMenuCategory enumeration introduced in VDR 1.7.34 to determinate which menu has to be displayed and if this menu should be displayed narrowly or in default style. So plugins like epgsearch or extrecmenu which replace VDR menus also have to set correct MenuCategories to be displayed correctly by the skin. In the newest versions of these plugins this is already implemented, so you should use always the latest git version of these plugins. One remaining issue with older plugins which are not already adapted to this new behaviour is the following: in plugins with dedicated setup menus which inherit from cMenuSetupPage the menu category mcSetup is set by the constructor of VDRs cMenuSetupPage, but this category should only be used by the main setup menu from VDR (which is diplayed narrow by default in the skin). To solve this, in the constructors of these plugin menus a different menu category (for instance mcSetupPlugins) has to be set via a call to SetMenuCategory: SetMenuCategory(mcSetupPlugins); Cheers Louis ___ vdr mailing list vdr@linuxtv.org http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/vdr -- René Hertell Mäntytie 19 00270 Helsinki Finland TEL: +358 (0)9 135 1477 GSM: +358 (0)50 64 447 Fax: +358 (0)9 135 4001 VOIP: r...@voip.hertell.com ___ vdr mailing list vdr@linuxtv.org http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/vdr[http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/vdr] ___ vdr mailing list vdr@linuxtv.org http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/vdr

[vdr] Audio problem on Channel 4 HD on Freeview
The last two times I looked at Channel 4 HD on Freeview (DVB-T2) there was a strange problem with the audio. All the ambient sounds and background music were there but voices were very muffled. One time was a film and the other was a US drama series (Revenge). The same channel on Freesat (DVB-S2) was OK. This was on a remote client using xineliboutput + vdr-sxfe with analogue stereo audio. I just tried it on my main TV (also using vdr-sxfe but connecting to VDR on localhost) with HDMI audio, and the sound was normal on that, but it was a British cookery show. I don't know yet whether the difference was because of the type of programme or the respective PC's audio settings. I tried changing the stereo mix settings in VDR's xineliboutput plugin config, but one setting didn't do anything and the other turned it into a loud, harsh noise. Is this just the wrong audio stream being selected (I didn't think of trying to find an alternative stream at the time) or the player discarding channels instead of downmixing into stereo? ___ vdr mailing list vdr@linuxtv.org http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/vdr

[vdr] Patch: Add 'MUTEON' and 'MUTEOFF' options to the SVDRP VOLU command
Hi all, I made a tiny patch to extend the SVDRP VOLU command. Up until now VDR only had an option to _toggle_ the current audio muted status, but no options to force the audio muted status on or off. I want to mute the audio via SVDRP and unmute it again later. My usecase: I'm running mpd on the same host as VDR, if I start playing music with mpd from my tablet I can mute VDR automatically with a shell script and unmute it again after stopping the music. Using the (already implemented) VOLU 0 command also mutes the audio, but the previous audio volume gets lost, so you cannot unmute audio again and return to the previous volume. Re: [vdr] Patch: Add 'MUTEON' and 'MUTEOFF' options to the SVDRP VOLU command
Hi Magnus, I want to mute VDR when I start playing music. If I use the VOLU MUTE or the HITK MUTE command, I can't be sure that I'll really mute VDR. If it was muted before VDR becomes unmuted. The existing SVDRP commands only toggle the status but I can't set the muted status to an absolute value. Re: [vdr] VDR form packages
There is somewhere repo of developer, FernetMenta, but I think those source should perfectly fit XBMC plugin I've updated the plugin: http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-vdr-dvb/vdr-plugin-vnsiserver.git;a=summary But I this is still considered unstable, so right now this is no candidate to be uploaded to Debian. Hi Louis, I start xineliboutput with the following line xineliboutput --local=none --remote=37890 --primary --fullscreen I tried to add --hud but it did not work. To had to remove first --fullscreen because vdr did not start, but to the end i had the same problem: no osd :-( I tried to install softhddevice, but i could not get it to compile due to missing libraries etc. If you know which packages is needed in Ubuntu, then it would be great to get help with this :-) Regards, René On 21.03.2013 12:33 , Stefan Braun wrote: Hi Rene, how do you start the xineliboutput plugin? To get a true color osd, you have to start it with --hud. I think this is your problem... If this is not working, you could also try to use softhddevice as output plugin. softhddevice supports true color anyway, so you could see if you have another issue maybe... Anyways, when you try compiling, you likely have errors like some file.pc is missing. So you can do `apt-file search file.pc` to find the package that file belongs to, and then install the package. ___ vdr mailing list vdr@linuxtv.org http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/vdr
