OS X Default Dir Behaviour is SVN NIGHTMARE

2008-10-27 Thread Thinsoldier
Our company policy is to work with all files directly from a central server (that is not an SVN repository). We also have to keep the files there free of any unnecessary files (.cache &.settings folders from eclipse or .svn folders etc...) So what I have to do at the end of the day is export my f

Re: SVN to live server

2008-10-27 Thread Thinsoldier
I've requested that they make drag&drop out of Versions be an on-the- fly export command. That way we could simply drag files or folders directly into a Transmit (ftp client) window and not worry about uploading any of the .svn stuff. They actually replied to that email so maybe it'll happen. On

Noob question about renaming a file

2008-12-23 Thread Thinsoldier
Often (but not all the time) when I rename a file via finder, in versions I see the old file name marked as missing and the new filename as unversioned then when I try to commit I get either out of date errors or file not under version control errors or some other error about the file not existing

Unable to work with Working Copy because SVN client is too old

2009-01-08 Thread Thinsoldier
I decided to check out a few others svn clients. I tried svnX which at first glance was good. But later I realized it lacked features in the gui for renaming, ignoring, and a few other things. So when I went to the command line to ignore some files SVN tells me it's too old to work with my worki
