I'm getting several of these every few minutes. It appears to be a
message generated by a security library, judging by hits on this
message from various other mailing lists... no worthy mechs for what,
though?

I see no problem doing this. Works fine here. In fact I do this all
the time developing with Ruby On Rails.

This is a frequently asked question. Versions uses the file associations from
the Finder preferences. I would prefer Versions to have its own ass
tory URL" service entry completely.
However, I think you can remove it from the Services context menu by
unchecking the entry for it under "Services" in System Preferences >
Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts
I guess until I figure out more about the entire "Services" me

I use araxis merge as my merge tool. When i update a fla or swf, and
the files are different, it open Araxis merge and tries to merge
them.
How do i configure it so it asks me which file i want to select? I do
NOT want to merge the binaries.

When opening Versions with the 'open' command, I think kVersions should
create a Repository bookmark for remote protocol handlers (http/s://,
svn+ssh://, svn://, etc.), and a Working Copy bookmark for a local file://
URI or pathname.
When I try using something like 'open -a Versions.app ~/Sites
