Josh,
I remember the early days of FireAnt, and meeting you guys and realizing how
cool it was that tools were growing up from our community.
You certainly deserve it, and I wish FireAnt the best in this new endeavor.

We haven't really posted about this one here yet... glad someone else

Hey Sull,
Yes, Try uninstalling the old version of FireAnt first before
installing the new... this is an issue we are currently resolving.
Alternatively, you can try removing/renaming the FireAnt database located at:

I feel your pain... We're a small team with limited resources at the

So, when i add a feed to FireAnt app, it ends up appearing on FireAnt.tv.How can I get it removed? How can I prevent this from happening?I added a private feed for testing in FA and do not want it publically listed in a directory.
Thanks,-- Sullhttp://vlogdir.com http://SpreadTheMedia.org
ok, will email you direct with my removal request.do you plan on adding feature that will allow channels to be added without being added to the web directory or be totally private without FA knowing what I am watching?

Josh, that explains alot. Just yesterday I was playing around with Fireant on XP Pro and the interface was so different from my beloved OSX. The big problem was that Fireant downloads videos (XP) but I cant find or play them in the FA aggregator. I have to go to documents and then they open in
A Unified UI is important. Good choice to work your way towards that.I'd suggest simplifying the UI on windows version even more. Can you direct me to the BitTorrent Support Documentation? I foget... does it also seed torrents or only download and play?
In other words, is FA a true BitTorrent
Never heard of that before! It really helps if you send bug reports when you have trouble. Of course, there are many thousands of people whom it works for just fine, so I have no idea of the specifics of your setup or what might be the trouble. Please email me off-list and we can try to work it
No documentation needed, really. BitTorrent files download and play like any other file. While a BitTorrent file is downloading it is simultaneously seeding, as per the BitTorrent protocol. We have not added a configurable seeding ratio after download however (so perhaps it is less of a true

(Maybe I'm misunderstanding your question, but)As a user you would use whichever is appropriate based on what you have running on
I can try to answer this... though I don't know if you'll be satisfied with the response...FireAnt has a different interface on Windows and on Mac. This is partly due to the fact that we've had very different developers with different styles who were creating on entirely different platforms

Bev, with Windows XP I just click the space on the blue bar across the
bottom of the screen(which is really the link for that window) and click
close. What I haven't figured out to do on vlogs I watch through the
