Give that a shot. I'm sure the problem is with the ambigious mime type
associated with
Apple's newly invented file extension. The only reason I can fathom that you
would want
to create a .m4v is if you were using Apple's FairPlay DRM. But I'd guess you
aren't.

I am totally siding with Mike here. Why people publish m4v's is beyond
me. I am almost at the point that if it's an m4v file, I wont bother
watchign because I know I am going to have to wait until the download
is done.
What's the reason for an m4v anyways?

Sorry for the double reply.
Out of curiosity, why publish .m4v files instead of iPod-compatible .mov
files? I believe
the .mov should work fine on video iPods and they give you two distinct
advantages over
m4v files: they have an unambigious mime type and they can be set to play while

I suppose we could try changing the MIME type we report for these videos to
video/mpeg,
but that would be inaccurate. We do from time to time change our MIME settings
(particularly to add new types, but also to change to more appropriate types)
so that may
explain why some videos have worked
Here's another datapoint:I previously uploaded a video katherinelegge.m4v to blip.tv (over 3 weeks ago), it gets enclosures onhttp://katherinelegge.blogspot.comI just added it as a video to:http://jimmyvasser.blogspot.comwhere the Feedburner RSS feed SUCCESSFULLY generates an enclosure.??The abov
Here's what gets me.
It's *getting* a content type that should be appropriate. And it's
having trouble enclosing a JPG and can't tell you why.
Have you tried refreshing this feed?
Here's the relevant portion, saying "Content Type reported: video/mp4"
and "Media enclosure not created because:
I just uploaded the 2nd video to my server on www.unitedoffroad.org, & set the MIME settings to "video/mpeg" (m4a extension).I changed the Blogger.com post to reflect the new location of the 2nd video.I pinged Feedburner using the Feed URL.I went to Troubleshootize for the video blog..lo & behold
This doesn't make any sense. The MIME type "video/mp4" is appropriate
for an MPEG-4 video and is a valid video mime type that should be
enclosed. It's possible that FeedBurner wants to see "video/x-m4v",
but it shouldn't have to.
Bringing this up on the FeedBurner forums may be your best bet.

Here's the video-blog:http://sebastienbourdais.blogspot.comThere are 2 videos there..both are sitting on Blip.tv servers. They both download OK.However, the problem is with the Feedburner RSS feed. The 1st one is generating an enclosure, but the 2nd one ISN'T:Content Item: "start of Lap 1: S. B

Hey,
This is very strange. What's wrong with a video/mp4 mime type for a
.m4v file exactly? As I understand it "video/mp4" and "video/x-m4v"
are both acceptable mime types for a .m4v file.
I think this is just FeedBurner being wacky. Do you have any special
