I went through the procedure last year and I don't see the problems with
it. The employees are helpful and professional, it *very* fast and there
are even self-checkout machines when departing the USA (I'm a bit
entertained by the fact that you have to checkout of a country).

I do wish they'd have three lines at arrivals instead of just US-citizens
and non-citizens it would make my day if there were US-citizens, people on
visa-waivers and people with visas. Us visa-waiver people require far less
time and it would be nice with a fast lane.

I guess it was clogged up when I was in Miami - it took us about an
hour and we almost missed our flight. Vacation travel probably
had something to do with it. And my guy was a total jerk so that
also didn't help. As always, depends who you get I suppose.

[videoblogging] my trip to America

2006-05-06 Thread Paul Knight

hi all,

Just a small question, as you may be aware I am gonna be at
Vloggercon this year and I am traveling all the way from the UK, this
is not the problem, nor is the jet-lag. No nothings as benign or small.

Just I have heard that I need a Bio-metric passport to enter the
states. Does anyone know that this is true as my current passport
isn't bio-metric. Is this true? Do I need a Bio-metric passport to
visit or what, has anyone flown from the uk to the states recently
without or what?

Need to know, the US Embassy is website is a bout as much use as a
chocolate pocket in a sock.

Don't worry, Paul. Once you're here, we'll collect the DNA necessary
to put you into The System. After that, it's really a short flight
to Gitmo.

PS: I'm pretty sure bio-metric can include a fingerprint ID.
