On a different note, there's this podcast I just had for breakfast that I think maybe could clear a few things up:http://mrmultiple2.blogspot.com/2006/02/peeling-myself-like-onion-cry-now-or.html
The part that's relevant to all this happens about .26 into it, and again at .68, and again at

None. Posted once earlier in the week. Anyway it is SOLD. Sorry for
the intrusion. I thought if anyone would need this powerful a
computer, it would be someone on this list. I do not understand why
anyone on this list finds posts of powerful computers for sale by
fellow list members

I didn't find it offensive, good call, I say and to be honest if I was getting rid of any of my film making equipment I would ask the group first or even give them first refusal. The only reason I didn't buy it was you live in California and I live in the UK, which brings up 3 problems, 1.
Well I'm not opening the new box until I have the CASH in my hand and
the Dual 2.5 is passed on to the lucky local here in the Bay Area.
But thank you for the words of support.
FYI - I would WANT to know if any member of this list has anything
video production related FOR SALE including
i think the post was relevant to this group.
i think schlomo's point is that once was enough.
i too would like to know when members have equipment for sale, but i
don't need to be reminded until it sells.

hmmm... wonder if we are getting big enough to create a for-sale, commerce based group? (e.g. [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Once is not enough. It sold to someone who saw the first post on
Tuesday but did not act and then acted on the second post I made
today. Lots of folks either miss or think twice when a second post is
made. It is like any form of ads, repeats remind and capture others.

New
Definitely. And Repeat posts do help a sale complete. I sold it to
someone who was reminded today with the second post to one of the
lists.

once is a notice
multiple times is an ad, as you say
notices seem more appropriate than ads here
as to what lots of folks do or think, i'm not sure
but I imagine that lots of folks would like no more than one notice please

well, assuming that people want to take in ads here ...
how about an opt-in, round-robin, paypal system?
why not start with http://www.solitude.dk/ ?
next one could be pjk, human-dog, uaa, etc
...or would people prefer not to take ads for $ here?

Apparently you misunderstood. In the first place, THIS IS NOT SPAM.
You guys are way off base calling a member's post about selling
something SPAM. In the second place I was not writing about re-
posting on the list about something already sold. I was saying that a
second post several days
I deeply resent the characterization the I pimped anything here. I
thought I was doing everyone on the list a FAVOR by offering it to
them. But apparently a handful of POLICE here don't think so. Well
why don't you mind your own business and leave us who want to help
others here by

i even got one of those cool car mounts like josh paul and eric rice
