The last piece of my disk-brake conversion kit for my 1970 beetle arrived
today from Mid America Motorworks - almost exactly 6 months to the day after
I ordered the conversion kit. It purported to be a remanufactured left
spindle, though unlike the right spindle shipped earlier, it was drilled

The problem that I had with the left(drivers side) spindle from an empi
kit was that the speeometer cable drilling was not well done at all.
Even after I worked it over, my speedometer has the bump,bump look of a
kinked cable...I don't expect the cable to last very long.
