Then delete them all and just set up 1 or 2. I know you are supposed to set up more, but I sometimes found that it works way better with just your one primary finger and maybe a second as backup in case you have little cuts or something which prevents Touch Id to recognize your primary finger.

Sherry, I suspect as others have hinted that your friend has never successfully signed into his Apple ID on his device. It also sounds as if his touch ID might not be set up properly. His device should not keep prompting for his Apple ID once it's successfully provided. Alan Lemly Sent from

He did try signing in with his Apple id & password. The phone continues to prompt for it though. He has not called Apple accessibility yet as he is hearing impaired & it is a bit of a hassle. Since no one on the list has an answer though, that is what he will need to try next. Thanks,
