Downloading An App From The App Store Help Please.

HI everyone, I can't seem to find how to download an certain app from the app store. I know it's been quite some time since I downloaded from the app store, but something must have changed. I tap on the search, but I don't get any edit field to type in the name of the app I want to download.

One thing you have to remember is that if you put iOS 17 public beta or any early public beta on your primary phone that you have to be willing to expect problems. This could be small stuff, but it could also mean that certain apps you use crash and are unusable until the developer updates
