Hi Kimber and Kirsten,
The books do not belong to you, think of it like Netflix, you pay a monthly
subscription fee and you can consume as much content as you want, movies and
TV shows in case of Netflix and Audio Books in case of AudioBooks.com. I
guess the idea is that if you want to listen
Hi, I just typed audiobooks.com in the app search and it was the only
result.

Voiceover would read the one you want like this:
Audiobooks, Audiobooks.com, Free, 4.5 Stars, 21 reviews
I also stand corrected, in the description of the app it says you can
download up to 2 books for listening off
to increase the speech rate on audio books, without
distorting the sound of the voice?

Is there a way to increase the speech rate on audio books, without

Hi Wayne and Chuck,
I am always amazed when people speed up audio book playback especially when
the readers are as good as most of the Audible readers are. For me a large
part of the enjoyment is the reading itself, of course also the story, but
speeding up a well-read audio book to me would be

If you're using Audible, when listening to the book, swipe/flick right
to the Sppeed button and double tap on it. If you then flick right two
or three more times, there will be an adjustable slider that you can
adjust by swiping up or down. I have mine set
Well, I speed up the playback of my audio books, and I don't find that
it keeps me from enjoying a well read book at all. I don't speed it up
much, and I'm definitely not trying to crank it up as fast as I can
comprehend it, but I do find some readers, even good readers, to be a
bit slow. I agree
The speed adjustment is for all books. If I load a book that has a
narator that speaks faster than normal then I may slow down the speed
to double speed. I don't think triple speed is too fast though, but it
may be because I listen to my screen reader at about 50 percent, and

Personally, i find nothing wrong with synthesized speech. Having gone so
many years with out being able to read any thing, Those voices sound like
freedom to me.
Also, I find that when an actual human is reading, it takes some of the
enjoyment away.. I am used to the iPhone's generic voice, so
What? Man if I could speed up all the people that talk to me and especially my
wife, I'd be so happy. People talk to WHat? Ah man if I could get an app to
speed up everyone I talk to life would really be sweet. I like a good reader as
well, but I just want to keep the flow ripping along.

Hi Raul and others,
I tried out AudioBooks.com a while back and the one thing I didn't like was
that I started listening to a book and when I was about half way through (a
day or 2 after I started) the book was suddenly not available any more. I
contacted their support and they apologized
