There's a link to an article on the Maccessibility page. Basically this article tells how to move Newsstand manually into another folder to which you can add more stuff. It also has a download link to a Mac app to do this for you.

I didn't really find it confusing; I just kept following the trail till I got to the app. The only thing I can't figure out is why it didn't work for me. My phone was recognized and then the hide newsstand was dimmed so I thought it must be doing something but the folder was never changed. Kind
