there is a link to a video which tells you how to use it. just download
and install the app, and plug your device in, and then click on hide
newsstand folder. it will put it in a folder called magic.

You know I read the article which really did not provide any information about
how this hack works and perhaps there was a link I missed; however, having to
download an application that would do something seems a little odd. Guess I'm
to suspicious, but hey I can always just move the folder out
There was a link to a link to another link which I had to use mouse keys on and
as far as I could see the app didn't change my newsstand folder. Maybe whoever
posted it and the announcement here can give further explanation. I maybe
should have been more suspicious but I thought the
It seems to me that it is far easier to just move the folder to the last
page and ignore it.

Yeah, that's what I've done but I'd far rather just get rid of it until there's
something accessible that goes in there that I want. I don't appreciate it
taking up a place on my screen when I don't even want it! If it could at least
be moved into some other folder or other things could live in
Hi Cheryl,
Like you I had to go from link to link about three times before I found the
actual article only to realize that its just as easy to move the folder to
your last page and forget about it.

There's a link to an article on the Maccessibility page. Basically this article
tells how to move Newsstand manually into another folder to which you can add
more stuff. It also has a download link to a Mac app to do this for you.
Hmm, I didn't see instructions to do it manually but I'll maybe look again if I
get around to it. It's getting to be more of a pain than it's worth!

Many blogs have links inside them that aren't necessarily explicit. The link
for manual instructions said something to the effect of folks have found out
how to do this with VO indicating it was a link, so I clicked on it.

Hi. This is one of the Maccessibility noted posts, which is not an article
itself, but a link to somewhere else. This is the first post of this type that

which I neglected to do. I definitely apologize for the
I didn't really find it confusing; I just kept following the trail till I got
to the app. The only thing I can't figure out is why it didn't work for me. My
phone was recognized and then the hide newsstand was dimmed so I thought it
must be doing something but the folder was never changed. Kind
Um... am I missing something or does this post not contain the actual
steps on how to do this?

Hi Mark,
They seem to only point to their site rather than giving the steps, which
wouldn't take up much space I'd guess.

I don't know. I downloaded it and opened it and my iPhone 5 was recognized and
