I tried lyft once but quit after they lied about a discount. I was suppose to
get a discount but never saw it activated. I was charged almost $8 for a ride
less than 2 miles.

I find the lyft app easier to use, but they do update and periodically
change the format. For example, with Uber you set your pick up point first,
while with lyft, you set up your destination first. This can be confusing
if you use both.

Catching up on holiday emails so am a little late on this topic. The
one thing I'll say which has not been mentioned yet is it seems that
in Austin, Texas, where we have both, Uber Pool used to be a set price
no matter the distance. However, I have found that Uber Pool, their

I use both and one thing is both apps can have updates which means things can
change. With my current versions, Lyft changed it where you specify where you
are going first and then work on where you are getting picked up. Uber, is the
other way.
I usually check both apps and compare the price
We have both in Saint Louis. In many cases, if I need to go to and from a
destination, I will take one service one way and the other service on the
return trip, just because I want to support both of them. I have found that
Lyft provides discounts more often than Uber does, but Uber is
Google maps gives you a comparison between the two when you punch in the
address info in the app.

Hi
I use both. While I tend to use Lyft more, it often comes down to which app is
easier to use at the time. Updates change things, as we all know, and
sometimes one app will feel more clunky. The other night I was at a restaurant
and Lyft could not seem to figure out where I was to populate my

Maybe you didn't see the entire message and it said "Good Deal for Lift"

I've had great luck with both services actually.
Both apps have worked well for me.

The two apps feel almost identical to me. I will look at
speaking of specials offered by Lyft, here is an experience I don't care to
repeat.
On my main screen there was an offer saying my ride would be free and stated
"Good Deal"
I clicked on it but when I completed the ride, not only did I get charged
for the ride but they charged my credit card
Indeed, if those types of things matter, Lyft's generally considered to be the
more ethical of the two services. Around here (Southern California), Uber on
average seems to be cheaper, but for the most part, I take Lyft when I need a
ride. Often though, drivers work for both companies. So it's
Mark,
I've had excellent success with both Uber and Lyft. I can't say I've had
accessibility problems with either app. I personally prefer Lyft which stems
more from Uber's past CEO and some of the things done while he was at the helm
not from any personal negative experience with the service.
I live out on Long Island about 50 miles outside of New York city and have both
available to me. Having said that while out on the island I tend to use Lyft 90
percent of the time as I find most quotes are less pricing wise. I have had a
couple of issues with how a driver chose to drive a
I use both services and find the apps very similar and both easy to use.
Most of the drivers work for both companies and I personally have found most
to be very friendly and very helpful.
On the other hand, I find Lyft more difficult to work with in the case of
any dispute and I object to the
The two apps feel almost identical to me. I will look at them both, to see
which one has the cheapest rate before booking a ride. Having said this, I tend
to prefer Lyft slightly more because they have a toll-free number you can call
if your driver decides to discriminate against you.
