Hello Larry,
I assume that your sounds are not muted. I believe if the sounds on the phone
are muted. I.e. the switch on the side of the phone is switched to the mute
option the internal voice will not work on the Seeing Eye app
Seeing eye does not store maps off line. Blindsquare is much more
automatic, seeing eye will announce the streets when you get to them,
but blindsquare provides more information automatically and I think
it's better than seeing eye at this point.

maps off line. It just gets it’s maps info from google or even the Open Street
Maps
And, for the person who wondered about wether any GPS tells you the side of the
street, Seeing Eye GPS does. For example, in Portland Oregon, where I am, we
have lots of streets that eithemake t intersections or jog a ways from where
they cross the intersecting street. So Seeing Eye might say,

Hello,
It uses the Google maps. It might have the Canada maps as it does not store
maps off line. It just gets it’s maps info from google or even the Open Street
Maps Project. It all depends on which one you have selected in the settings.

I am on the opposite side of the coin. I find the Seeing Eye GPS app much more
intuitive for my use. I really love the improvements to the app with the newest
update. The tabs down at the bottom of the app screen are now all on one level

of the reasons I didn't like it, and this wasn't really the app's fault, was
that it ran super, super slowly on my iPhone 4S. Google Maps and Lyft used to
do this as well, but both of those apps are now running great

You can change the intersection distance from short, medium or long inside the
app setting. I periodicaly shake my phone to check my location to get updates.

I tried Seeing eye because it was from the company that made my Sendero GPS on
my voice note. I did like it because it was so similar with the turn by turns.
Price wise, I switched to BSQ and have been enjoying it ever since. I use it
with Navagon and it has been a treat. I was told that I can
