Hi, 2-finger flick up doesn't work if you are on the body or the header.
You have to in fact, flick down with 2 fingers.

Hi:
To read the email, flick up with 2 fingers. It will go to the body of the
email. Further questions, ask! Welcome to iPhone!

Hi,
I notice you've had a response from David, who does know what he's talking

Apparently you read email the same way I do. Oldest to newest. I haven't
found a quick way to do it.
What I do though is to start at the top of the list and do a 1 finger flick
down to bring up the delete option and double tap with 1 finger. This delets
that message and any other messages
When reading a long string of messages, I usually do the same, except I more
often use a split tap on the delete button as I can often do so more quickly.
When using such methodology, VO announces the subject of each subsequent
message.
