Obvious things first: are the lights on? Are you using mains or battery for the
lights and, if the latter, do you have the 12 V battery supply? Next,
positioning the phone is crucial! I presume you have the stickers that came
with the stand Scan Pro, these are useful for positioning

just put them both through their paces with the stand ScanPro and then again
Freehand. Firstly, let me say, I find a little bit of erratic behaviour in both

I finally sat down to organize my paperwork using Text Grabber and the
StandScan Pro. I did swap out my case on the phone to see if this was
contributing to the lack of capturing the text in OCR. I changed out the phone
case and received the same problem of the famous error message
Make certain the camera lens is over the hole in the top. If you do not have
the lights in the stand ScanPro turned on, you also need to make certain the
flash is in the hole as well.
