Hi all, To the person who asked if i have re-installed ios 5 with a clean install , yes i have. Nope did not work. I guess its just some security feature implemented by apple that when the phone goes into sleep mode wifi connection just drops? I am giving up as the router won't get replaced

Yep, tried everything including wiping phone clean. It would work when I first turned it on but as soon as phone went to sleep, lost WIFI when I went to use it. Apple store did same thing with same result which is why I hung around the store for about 10 minutes after they put the phone

I have an iPhone 4, and also have issues with my wifi dropping, so it's not just a 4S issue. It doesn't matter which display I have connected, whether it be an Apex, Refreshabraille, or Focus, the issue persists and on a wide veriety of wifi connections. SO, I'm not confident it's a braille

I too have a related question. My router is a Linksys WRT 54G and works flawlessly with my 3 GS. IOS on my phone is updated to 5.1.1. Now for the question. Are these wifi issues related to a specific model of iPhone, or are they related to a particular version of IOS or a specific router?

I had similar problem with WIFI and Iphone. Sometimes it wouldn't see network. Sometimes it would connect OK after I reset everything but as soon as phone went to sleep, no WIFI when I woke it up. Turns out it's an Iphone problem. So if your Iphone is under warranty, have an Apple store check
