Screen curtain does nothing to save battery, as the display is still on, but
blacked out for privacy. Setting brightness to 0 does save battery life.

Thanks Dave. I went into my settings, and auto brightness was turned off. But
sometimes brightness moves from zero, anyway. I must make sure to check it
daily just in case.

sighted assistance is needed. But, I've noticed lately that I have to check
brightness regularly because it doesn't always stay at zero. I check it when I
