For Ray and others who are very new to iPhone or iPod Touch 5th gen,
If you are trying to turn off your iPhone simply press the single power
button at the top right-hand side. Pressing this power button again turns it
back on.
If the iPhone is off
Where and which way as I am trying to turn the thing off.

Ray, if you have a lot of difficulty with multiple tap gestures, there may
be a way around it using assistive touch. I will need to experiment with it
and get back to you later. Unfortunately, I am extremely busy for the next
month and a half, so do not currently
