I think you will find in any case where sliding your finger doesn't get what you want, flicking will. The advantage to flicking is that it jumps from item to item and skips the dead space. Sometimes the buttons are physically very small and it is easy to slide right by them. Glad you found it.

That's what I thought as even though the keyboard is advertised for the iPad it actually works with any Apple products. To proove this I have my own Apple keyboard paired to my iPhone 4 and they work very well together. It's basically like using a Macbook Pro/Macbook/Macbook Air on the iPhone.
