Hi Karl,
I tried this once and wasn't happy with the sound quality. Sometimes, there
was a loud buzzing in the background, and sometimes, voices were just really
distorted. I also didn't like that you can't use your cell phone the same
way while it's hooked up to your cordless.
It's been
That's terrible news. I always seem to be fumbling to end calls on this phone.
Ending calls with the power button was ever so much more convenient.

It is great that the bug has been found.
It is very sad that this is the first recognition from the developers that the
bug even existed.
I, and many others, began reporting this within a day of the release of 2.6.
I have free apps with better customer service.

Hi,
I forgot to mention it only works if you have the call on earpiece. If it’s on

Sorry for the confusion.

Hi Christine,
I don't use the Voice Memos app a lot, but I just did a little test and
recorded for a few seconds. After I stopped recording and saved the recording,
at first I couldn't even double tap on it to play the recording. It listed the
recording and Voiceover said "Dimmed" after it. I
No, that’s how I do it. I honestly don’t mind doing that just to be able to
press the power button to end calls.

Hi Daniel,
Thanks for that tip. Are you low vision and use magnification but not

as soon as you take the phone away from your ear it switches to speakerphone

Yes and it is really! really! hard to explain how that particular bug
wasn't caught.
All you have to do is open the app once, set the reading speed, close
the app and reopen to see the bug.
How much testing do they perform over there?
This suggests they don't even test there app at all.
Hi Daniel,
Your 6S must work differently than mine, if I am on a call, take the phone away
from my ear and then once the call switches to speakerphone press the power
button I just get Voiceover telling me "Screen locked".
I tried pressing it once and I tried pressing it twice quickly, but it

So just to be clear, you do these steps:
1. You take the phone away from your ear when you are ready to hang up and let
it switch to speakerphone

Hi Robin,
The ability to disconnect a call by pressing the power button while the phone
is still held up to your ear is only possible with the 5S or earlier. I
understand it works on all phones before the 5S.
What Daniel described he is doing on his 6S apparently makes sense to him, but

Hi,
At least on he 6S Plus, you can still hang up calls with the power button, but
the phone needs to be away from your ear to do so, since the proximity sensor
prevents the button from being pressed by accident while you’re on a call.
