I don’t think I can do anything using Siri with the Nest. With the Echo and the third party skill “the thermostat” I can set the current temperature (if it’s in a single mode such as heating), or either the high or the low temperature if it’s in auto switch mode (both heating and cooling).

As Dave pointed out, you must have selected I Agree or put in your passcode at some point since there is no way it updates automatically without at least the need for you to put in your passcode. I have had iPhones since 2010 and never ever did any of my phones update to a new iOS version

I can understand how this process can be a little confusing. When you get the popup, hit later. The passcode screen will come up. When it does, find the button at the bottom of the screen called remind me later, and press it. The popup will go away, and your phone won't update. Thanks, Ari >
