Dwayne, That is why I do not buy books through Apple. I used to buy them 
through Audible, but now use a service called Libro.fm which has the same books 
as Audible, minus the Audible originals, and you can download them as MP3 files 
with no DRM, so you can listen with Voice Dream Reader, or their own app which 
is quite accessible.
The price might be a little higher than audible, because they do not have a 
yearly price, just $14.95 per month, but you can suspednd your membership any 
time and the books are yours to keep.

In settings you can choose the level of difficulty. If you are really stuck for 
an answer, you can double tap "hints" and it will give you a few of the letters 
to start you off, or you keep hitting it until it gives you the whole answer.

Hi, 
The answer to the first clue on the hidden flowers puzzle is Everglades.
The answer to the second one is masterful.
The answer to the third clue is hostage.
The answer to the fourth one is Upsadaisy. 
The answer to the fifth one is minimums. 
The answer to the sixth one is satirists. 
The answer to the final clue is prosecutor.
I’m not sure how flowers tie into some of these, but I see how they do in 
others.  For example, in  satirists, I see the flower name Iris. In minimums, I 
see the word mums.

I have been wanting to move books that I get from the books app on my iPhone to 
Voice Dream for a long time. I have some free ones, but don’t really like the 
way the Samantha voice reads. I also wish that there is a way to find some of 
the books that I find on the books app in other places, but so far, for some of 
my titles, it hasn’t been the case.

I also forgot to mention one of the best things about Libro.fm, half of the 
price goes to a local bookstore. You can pick the store. If there isn't one in 
your area on the Libro.fm list, contact a local store and see if they would 
connect with Libro.fm.
Or ask Libro.fm to contact them.
They are very responsive.

Did you have a screen protector on your phone?

My sister thought that her screen was cracked, but, when she took it to the 
repair guy, he told her that it was just the screen protector that was 
cracked.  A easy fix.

there as batteries plus, they will do the work. I wish I could suggest a

have seen some other places quoting about $240.00. Is there a problem 
using cheeper screens in iPhones? I will check with my insurance company 
to see if I can claim on my accidental damage policy.

I can tell you our experience with a se 1, the battery went bad and messed 
up the screen. We didn't shop around, what we did was go to batteries plus 
and got a new battery and screen for $120. That would be a place to check. 
No troubles with the screen now, it works the same.

Since Apple owns the Books APP, and because Apple doesn't want outside sources

The instruction given assumed you want to add the book to the Books app on your 
iPhone, not your Mac.
Once the book file has been added to your iPhone, it may possibly show up on 
your Mac, but I have never done this, so I can’t verify that it works that way.

procedure most likely won’t work for MP3 files, however you can add MP3 files 
to the Voice Dream Reader app.
 
Use the following procedure to add the M4B file to your Mac, substituting the 
book file, for the ringtone file in the instructions:
1.  Connect your iPhone to your Mac with the USB charging cable.
2.  On your Mac, open a Finder window to the folder location where the custom 
ring-tone resides.
3.  Open a second Finder window )or tab), where you can select your iPhone from 
the Sidebar.
4.  Return to the Finder window where the custom ringtone resides.
5.  Interact with the table or browser, and using VO, navigate to the ringtone 
you wish to move to the iOS device.
6.  Once you are at the tone, press VO + CMD + f5, to route the mouse to the 
location of the VO cursor.
Note:  Depending on your keyboard preferences, you may need to include the fn 
key in order for the F-keys to perform as normal F-keys.
7.  Press VO + CMD + Shift + SpaceBar to invoke the mouse-down action.
8.  Navigate to the iPhone window.
9.  Navigate to the item that announces the name of your iPhone, how much space 
is used and its charge level.  On mine, it's the item that's one VO to 
the-right after the edit field with my iPhone name in it.
10.  Press VO + CMD + Shift + f5, to route the mouse to the location of the VO 
cursor.
11.  Press VO + CMD + Shift + SpaceBar to toggle the mouse-up action.

Reporting YouTube accessibility bug

Hello,
Does anybody know if there is a way to reach out Google regarding 
accessibility bug in their iOS Youtube app? The app itself has a report 
bug button, but that button only leaves to users forum, where sure 
enough nobody replied to me:

I know that Google is generally known for not providing any way to

I use the phone Zoom a couple of times a week and am going to in about 20 
minutes, works just fine. 

When you make the contact, just put a comma between when you call, the code 
number, then the Pound key.

Dwayne, That is why I do not buy books through Apple. I used to buy them 
through Audible, but now use a service called Libro.fm which has the same books 
as Audible, minus the Audible originals, and you can download them as MP3 files 
with no DRM, so you can listen with Voice Dream Reader, or their own app which 
is quite accessible.
The price might be a little higher than audible, because they do not have a 
yearly price, just $14.95 per month, but you can suspednd your membership any 
time and the books are yours to keep.

I would suggest getting it from the takecontrolbooks.com 
 site rather than Kindle because then you'll get 
the updates. There have been several free updates since it came out. I find 
Take control books to be quite usable without being able to see the pictures.

The instruction given assumed you want to add the book to the Books app on your 
iPhone, not your Mac.
Once the book file has been added to your iPhone, it may possibly show up on 
your Mac, but I have never done this, so I can’t verify that it works that way.

wish I could move books from the Books APP to Voice Dream Reader. It's one of

I unfortunately don't think you'll hear from them but will be very interested 
if you do. They haven't updated that site in years, the highest iPhone model it 
lists is the 6+. Their Amazon link goes to an out of stock item. So I truly 
think they're no longer supporting the scale. When I replace my phone, I assume 
I will no longer have it. So definitely let us know if you hear something from 
them.

selecting multiple photos

when using whats ap I used to be able to select multiple photos then 
either share with a friend or put on facebook.  Now no matter what I try 
I can only select 1 photo at a time so i'm wondering if perhapsselecting 
multiple photos is now not possible or if the way to do this has now 
changed.  Any info on this would be much appreciated.

But, if it is an m4b book, you could add it to iTunes, and sync your device, 
and I suspect it will be available either in Apple Books or under music, but in 
the book category. Or, if you have Voice Dream Reader, just import it there 
where you can play it quite easily.

On the official apple support page, it says it costs $279.
Assuming you are out of warranty, I'd check with local smart phone repair 
places to see if they are less expensive.

Hello, 

Do you know if the text mentioned "Take Control of Zoom" is useable for 
Voiceover users? It is available from Kindle but pricey. Similar texts I have 
seen contain many figures and pictures that are not accessible using Voiceover 
so I hesitate to invest in this one. Also, does it deal with current versions 
of Zoom? Zoom has made many upgrades to its fetures over the past year, 
especially in the area of host options. 

Thanks for any feedback on the book.

I’m wondeirng the same thing too; especially for books in MP3 in which there 
are separate MP3s for each chapter, how do you make it so the Books apps knows 
that each Chapter is separate?

The Zoom app on your iPhone is very accessible and easy to use. The best way to 
get familiar with it is to go to your meeting and start using it. I would 
encourage you to set up a free Zoom account with your name so that when you 
sign into your account with the Zoom app, you'll be identified by name in all

Hi,

Yes, Zoom is great! If you ever want to do anytnig more complicated than attend 
a meeting, such as host one, I recommend Take Control of Zoom, from Take 
Control Books. It goes through the details of settings so you know what they do 
and can decide how to set up meetings and such.

I have the scale and I had it paired with my phone at one time and now it 
doesn’t seem to pair. I’m thinking it might be the iOS because it was paired 
with iOS 12 and now it won’t pair with iOS 14 sell something to do with the 
scale I think.

seemed like it was designed for blind people. It's been a long time
since I've found a more accessible modern app.

Beets Blu bathroom scale app

Hello,

I’ve had this scale for several years but have not used it for about a year.  
This morning I discovered that my app is out dated and no longer in the app 
store.  I’ve been looking for the Beets Blu  site on Google with no luck and 
then I discovered an app with the same name (samrt scale) in the app store but 
it is not accessible.


So, after all of this I’m wondering if anyone else is using this scale and if 
so what have you done about the app issue?

plug in for both a USB thumb drive and the AC lightning charging cable.
You cannot access a thumb drive without power on an iPhone.
