Subject: iPhone Alarm?

Hi, Group.

I set my iPhone alarm for 1:30 AM twice a week.

On Sunday when the Day-Light-Saving Time would and and the clocks would be set
behind by an hour, what time my alarm would go off?

My understanding, (please correct me if I am wrong), is that the clocks are
put behind at 2 O’clock, my question is whether my alarm would go off at first
1:30 or at second 1:30?

Thanks!

I thought that we were talking about the tribit stormbox speaker here, not the
tribit MaxSound speaker. There are about 5 different tribit speakers on Amazon.

The dimensions of this speaker from the Amazon website are: 7.80 x 2.70 x 2.80
inches. I believe that is width by height by depth. The info came from this
website:

Andrew, I am not very good with dementions, however, the speaker can be used
with the victor stream no problems. I don't use mine with the victor stream,
but this speaker and a lot of others I know about can be used with the victor
stream. I've got a lot of speakers I'm trying to sell that would be perfect
with the victor stream. I like to use a speaker with my stream and watch
described movies it works very well.

The tribet speaker is a great speaker and I'm sure you'd like it with your
stream.

Actually Alan, the one that you posted about is actually better then mine
although it is 12 watts and mine is 24 watts. The newer model of my speaker is
only $24 whereas mine was $57. I just might have to purchase that speaker once
I get some money coming in. It sounds like a pretty good deal. Using USBC for
recharging is pretty nice and bluetooth 5.0 is also very nice.

If the alarm shows on the lock screen and you are a VoiceOver user you should
be able to flick up to dismiss and single finger double tap it to stop the

When the alarm goes off and I reach over to stop it, clicking the POWER button
on my 10S Max only sets the snooze time, which is set to a very odd nine
minutes. I always have to unlock the phone and tell Siri to cancel the alarm.
What's the gesture to really stop it from going off again after the snooze
period?

With mag safe on the new iPhones, will a mag safe wireless charging unit be

I'm not positive, but I'd be very surprised if older wireless charging pads
didn't work with the newer iPhones. I've got a wireless charger that is a 15
watt charger and I'm pretty sure it would work with the newer iPhones. Good
luck.

Re: Tribit MaxSound Plus Portable Bluetooth Speaker dimensions was RE: Speakers

2020-10-25 Thread Joshua Hendrickson
Actually Alan, the one that you posted about is actually better then
mine although it is 12 watts and mine is 24 watts. The newer model of
my speaker is only $24 whereas mine was $57. I just might have to
purchase that speaker once I get some money coming in. It sounds like
a pretty good deal. Using USBC for recharging is pretty nice and
bluetooth 5.0 is also very nice.

Re: Tribit MaxSound Plus Portable Bluetooth Speaker dimensions was RE: Speakers

2020-10-25 Thread Alan Lemly
My apologies for getting the wrong speaker and link. I tried fetching the link
from the email history but it got destroyed by those in the thread who have
their email clients set to plain text. I looked up a Tribit Bluetooth speaker
costing $57 and didn't realize there was more than one. At least the one I
posted was rated at 4.7 while the Storm model was rated 4.6.

Andrew, hopefully if the one I posted isn't exactly what you want, you have

Older wireless pads will work just fine. You can also use magsafe, and you

Re: mag safe on new iPhones. Will older charging units, wireless, still work, or does one need to purchase a mag safe charger to get wireless charging?

2020-10-25 Thread Joshua Hendrickson
I'm not positive, but I'd be very surprised if older wireless charging
pads didn't work with the newer iPhones. I've got a wireless charger
that is a 15 watt charger and I'm pretty sure it would work with the
newer iPhones. Good luck.

hi,
I have not seen this question addressed anywhere.
With mag safe on the new iPhones, will a mag safe wireless charging unit be
required to charge wirelessly, or will older wireless charging units without
MagSafe, still be usable?
Thanks in advance. Keith

To my knowledge if you are not a prime member the rate for free shipping is
$25. Before adding to cart, you should see that the product is fulfilled by
Amazon. When in check out, where it says see other shipping options, go in
there and make sure that the free shipping is checked; if I remember correctly,
there may be two check boxes that look like they are for free shipping, but the
other one would be if you are prime. After selecting, I believe you hit
continue, and then you review, whereupon you would see the initial shipping
charge, and then later, minus sign and whatever the shipping charge was. When
you see that all that is in order, you place the order.

Andrew. This speaker doesn't have a metal grill as such, but it does
have a 3.5 jack, so would work with the stream no problems. I highly
recommend it for use with the stream. For the cost of $57 you would
be getting a real good deal.

Andrew, I am not very good with dementions, however, the speaker can
be used with the victor stream no problems. I don't use mine with the
victor stream, but this speaker and a lot of others I know about can
be used with the victor stream. I've got a lot of speakers I'm trying
to sell that would be perfect with the victor stream. I like to use a
speaker with my stream and watch described movies it works very well.
The tribet speaker is a great speaker and I'm sure you'd like it with
your stream.

Is this the speaker that has a metal grill? It is rubber? Do you know what

You can always decide if you want to proceed with the order after reviewing the
shipping costs, just before you press the final button to submit the order
there is a summary of you ritem or items along with any applicaple taxes and if
there is shipping it will be listed there. But Holly is correct, if you are not
a Prime member you may not get the same free shipping deals or may have higher
minimums, also make sure to check who is fulfilling the order, if it's not
fulfilled by Amazon there may be shipping.

RE: Accessible thermometer

2020-10-25 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
It's everybody's choice, when I bought it years ago I think it was $89 here in
Canada, but it seems to be one of those devices which just work, even if it's
been sitting in my drawer for a year and I haven't touched it, I take it out,
push the button and a short while later I have my reading on the iPhone. Maybe
there are now cheaper options which work just as well and reliably, at the time
there were not so many, I think there was a Kinza at the time which was maybe
$20 less, but the Apple Store where I went didn't have it so I bought the
Thermo and I don't regret it. One thing to keep in mind if anybody is in the
market for something like that is that Black Friday is coming up and while I
don't know that there will be a deal on it, there very well could be.

Hi Sieghard,

Thanks for the info about the Withings Thermo accessible thermometer. I looked

temperature. That just seems a bit excessive.

I highly recommend the Withings Thermo, might be now th eNokia Thermo since
they bought Withings.
The app is easy to use, if I want to take my temperature I just push the button
on the thermometer, it vibrates and at that point I know it's ready, move it
from the middle of your forehead to your temple holding it so it doesn't
actually touch the skin and that's it.
It's a WiFi connected device so once it's connected it's good to go, I usually
just wait for a bit and after maybe 30 seconds or so a notification pops up
with the reading, I can tap on that and then the app opens and I can assign it
to myself (you can set up multiple people and assign readings to them).

Andy, I just purchased a speaker from Tribet which I really think gives
 some
of the bose speakers a run for the money. It was either the storm box
 or
box storm. It has surround sound, is waterproof, and easy to
 distinguish
controls. It gives a series of beeps from low to high when powered on
 and
vv when off. The blue tooth pairing uses two tones to help u know when
device is successfully paired. You can adjust the bass (add bass or
 take
 it
away). I caught it on sale from amazon for somewhere in the $50 price
range. I have successfully paired it with the original apple SE phone.
 Hope that helps.

Hi Sieghard,

Thanks for the info about the Withings Thermo accessible thermometer. I looked

Re: any tips on using Ipads

2020-10-25 Thread Ryan Mann
I like the iPad because of Swift Playgrounds. If anybody is interested in
learning the Swift programming language, Swift Playgrounds is a good way to
test Swift code.

Also, you will find that often the buttons in an app that you are used to being
at the bottom of the screen, will most likely be at the top.
That is certainly true with mail and safari.
I much prefer the iPhone because I have no vision and find the extra screen
size is wasted on me.
But, that is just me.
I know other totally blind people who love the iPad, especially for the better
sound and battery life.

One thing about iPads versus iPhones is they employ split screen views. On
iPads, open settings and you’ll find differences. The setting names are on the
left, and content for them is on the right. Also, the iPads have spassific apps
which do not run on iPhones. They can be used for drawing with the Apple
Pencil. They have bigger batteries than iPhones, and it makes more sense to use
keyboards with them, as iPads are self-contained in one unit if a keyboard kace
is used, where as iPhones, the easiest way to use a keyboard with an iPhone is
to have a separate one and the iPhone. Braille screen input is makes for a much
better experience, as the screen has more real-estate for your fingers in that
way of typing. Also iPadOS is more optimized for keyboard use, as it has more
commands than iOS.

Hi all,

I got my new Ipad today. It is my first one. Are there any tips on using one
of these? It is definitely setup differently than my Iphones. It sure seems
like there is a lot of wasted space on the screen. Maybe I just don't have it
configured the best?

Thanks for any ideas.

Re: getting documents from GoogleDox

2020-10-25 Thread Shai
Hello,
Are you getting the message that your email address is invalid after
you sign in to Docs or before? From the description given, it sounds
like it is occurring beforehand. If this is the case I would ensure
that the whole part of the email is entered with the at gmail.com
suffix and that the password is entered correctly.
I would also recommend using the docs app as it may be an easier experience.
If you are being told that the email address is invalid after signing
in then perhaps access to view the document is not present.
I would confirm with the owner that you have access with the email
address you are signing in with.
