RE: A reason not to spend the big Bucks for Apple Airpods including Airpod Max or at least not yet

2021-12-31 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
A statement which very rarely applies to technology because whatever passes me
by will be better in a year or two.
A good example would be the Airpods, if I wanted to buy a set I'd much rather
buy them now than when they first came out 4 or whatever years ago because I
know I'd be replacing them by now.

2021-12-31 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
There have been rumors for quite some time, but earlier this year they
apparently showed off something at a tech show in Germany and if you Google
"When will Sonos release a headset" or something like that you find a lot of
articles from reputable sources where it was expected this would happen in
2021, but unless they'll make an announcement in the next 49 minutes it will be
2022 if at all.

Sonos headphones, well I’m in to Sonos so deep I would have to purchase a pair.
Are their rumors that Sonos is planning to release a head set?

This probably goes without saying, but I wasn’t saying that anyone shouldn’t
have a pair of Sonos headsets. I’ve always been intrigued with Sonos myself,
and if I already had an investment in the Sonos system then I’m sure I’d be all
over these headsets. This doesn’t mean I would ever regret the last 18 months
I’ve had with myh AirPod Pros though.

Christopher,

Your right there is argument for waiting and or not waiting,

I’ve got airpods pro and bose frames
But if sonos bring out a pair of real over the head headphones,
Depending on the price,
I’ll go there without waiting.

Sonos are an audio company
Apple make tech devices and are very good at it,

My sound system within my house is sonos,
Why should I not have a set of sonos headphones.

Obviously there’s nothing wrong with waiting, and I’m sure the Sonos headset
will be the bomb, but if I hadn’t gotten my AirPod Pros over a year ago then
that would have been over 12 months I’d been without my AirPod Pros. I’m not
saying the AirPod Pros are perfect or that everyone should run out and buy a
pair, but I’m just saying there’s also a cost for waiting.

Here is an interesting article which shows how limited Bluetooth connectivity
is and that includes the ultra high priced Airpods Max headphones:

[xlsx icon] Bluetooth Is Holding Back Apple’s AirPods
Ambitions

So, I'll continue to wait for a Sonos headset which will of course add the
headset to my existing Sonos system via Wi-Fi and will be able to provide true
lossless quality sound and most likely for less than what the Airpods Max dcost.

Best regards,

RE: Transferring from audio to facetime call?

2021-12-31 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Yes, you can, just bring up the screen and hide the keypad if it is on the
screen, then on the same screen where you have the hold button, the
speakerphone button, the button if you want to add another caller and so on
find the "Facetime Video" button and tap it. There might be a very small
disruption, but basically what happens is that while you are still speaking to
the other person they are being notified that you are requesting a Facetime
call and they can accept it at which point the regular call ends and the
Facetime Video call starts; it's quite seamless and I have done it many times
with family and friends.

My understanding is that the only way to do this is if you do an audio FaceTime
call and then can switch to a regular video FaceTime call within the FaceTime
app not the Phone app which is what it sounds like you’re using.

2021-12-31 Thread Richard Turner
First, Mary, The batteries can be replaced when they die; or at least that is
my understanding.
Second, Joshuah, I'm sure if you got an Apple Card you could pay them off in
time.
If people think Sonos will come out with a pair of headphones for less; I will
be surprised if they do and if their batery is driving Wi-Fi and bluetooth, who
knows what that will look like.
I'm quite happy with my purchase.
But, to each his/her own.

The airpods max are just way to much money. I've spent $300 on
headphones before, but that was because I could pay them off in

The funny thing about audio is it is very subjective and a pair of
headphones that sound good to me will not sound good to the person next
to me. I personally don’t believe the price for the headphones was a
waist of money, they sound great and I’m happy with them. They are the

Bluetooth will be a limitation for any set of headphones that are
“wireless”, Apple actually has done a remarkable job with their W1 chip
and it makes for a very seamless experience pairing and they have
figured out how to get rid of the bluetooth lag that seems to be present
in most “wireless” headphones. Voiceover doesn’t stutter or drop out in
 the slightest.

They’re worth it in my book.

My understanding is that the only way to do this is if you do an audio FaceTime
call and then can switch to a regular video FaceTime call within the FaceTime

Re: A reason not to spend the big Bucks for Apple Airpods including Airpod Max or at least not yet

2021-12-31 Thread Lynda Ingraham
I totally agree with Richard. I just got my AirPod max for Christmas. I think
they sound absolutely awesome. There is no lag. And they have solved the
sleeping issues. I think the noise canceling is probably better on the AirPod
max in the balls. Also, the design of the ear cup is really pretty flat so as a
side sleeper no problem at all. I absolutely love them the sounds great and now
Jerry and Gregory can sleep without being harassed.

Happy new year everyone

2021-12-31 Thread Richard Turner
Ed, I agree 100% I'm coming up on a year with the Airpods Max and do not plan
to look for any other headset for music/movies.
I've never heard anything so good and you are right on concerning the issue of
any lag. There isn't one.

I too would recommend Aftershokz. The audio is fine for voice, but some may
find them a bit lacking for high fidelity sound. I haven’t gotten any
complaints from the people I call, so I assume the audio on their end is
adequate.

Re: A reason not to spend the big Bucks for Apple Airpods including Airpod Max or at least not yet

2021-12-31 Thread Ed Worrell
I have the AirPods Max headphones, and the sound quality is amazing.

The funny thing about audio is it is very subjective and a pair of headphones
that sound good to me will not sound good to the person next to me. I
personally don’t believe the price for the headphones was a waist of money,
they sound great and I’m happy with them. They are the most comfortable pair of
headphones I have ever owned. Oh yeah did I mention that the audio quality is
amazing?

Bluetooth will be a limitation for any set of headphones that are “wireless”,
Apple actually has done a remarkable job with their W1 chip and it makes for a
very seamless experience pairing and they have figured out how to get rid of
the bluetooth lag that seems to be present in most “wireless” headphones.
Voiceover doesn’t stutter or drop out in the slightest.

They’re worth it in my book.

RE: Bluetooth Headset recommendation

2021-12-31 Thread Christopher Chaltain
I too would recommend Aftershokz. The audio is fine for voice, but some may
find them a bit lacking for high fidelity sound. I haven't gotten any
complaints from the people I call, so I assume the audio on their end is
adequate.

Re: Apple Sends Me Message in French, FW: App Lacak telah dinonaktifkan pada Muhammad’s iPhone

2021-12-31 Thread CHELA Robles
Did you accidentally set your region language to French? That’s the only thing
I can think of. You can reset that just search for a region language or
something to the effect of that and you should be able to reset the language to
English.
So basically what you want to go do is go to settings general

Then scroll down and tap or double tap in our case language and region, double
tap device language, here you will see a list of languages select English and
then confirm it and then all should be good. Good luck let us know how it goes.

Yeah it's an issue with the current watch os version,

So if you get to the right end of the page and then flick down if you're on
page 3 etc,

And hold your finger at that page 2 or 1 junction point,
For a second or so it should kind of jump in to the page / level you want,

But the one I've started doing is using hey siri to pause or end my workouts
As it's easier to do with this touch screen issue,
Even though now I've figured out the way around the touch screen troubles.

Hey siri pause workout
And hey siri restart workout
Work fine,
 Not everyone likes it.

I can move from screen to screen, but the move doesn't stay. Screen
2 becomes screen 3 when I flick left for the information that should be
there. Instead, it says 'more', and tapping on 'more' doesn't do anything.

Well I have been saying this for many months now. A complete waste of money in
my opinion because of that lead to technology that Apple allows in their
headsets in terms of not updating to the latest protocol.

Here is an interesting article which shows how limited Bluetooth connectivity

2021-12-31 Thread Christopher Chaltain
This probably goes without saying, but I wasn't saying that anyone shouldn't
have a pair of Sonos headsets. I've always been intrigued with Sonos myself,
and if I already had an investment in the Sonos system then I'm sure I'd be all

I've had with myh AirPod Pros though.

Christopher,

Your right there is argument for waiting and or not waiting,

I've got airpods pro and bose frames
But if sonos bring out a pair of real over the head headphones,
Depending on the price,
I'll go there without waiting.

Sonos are an audio company
Apple make tech devices and are very good at it,

My sound system within my house is sonos,
Why should I not have a set of sonos headphones.

Obviously there's nothing wrong with waiting, and I'm sure the Sonos headset
will be the bomb, but if I hadn't gotten my AirPod Pros over a year ago then
that would have been over 12 months I'd been without my AirPod Pros. I'm not
saying the AirPod Pros are perfect or that everyone should run out and buy a
pair, but I'm just saying there's also a cost for waiting.

headsets in terms of not updating to the latest protocol.

Here is an interesting article which shows how limited Bluetooth
connectivity is and that includes the ultra high priced Airpods Max headphones:

Bluetooth Is Holding Back Apple’s AirPods Ambitions

So, I'll continue to wait for a Sonos headset which will of course add the
headset to my existing Sonos system via Wi-Fi and will be able to provide
true lossless quality sound and most likely for less than what the Airpods
Max dcost.

2021-12-31 Thread Simon A Fogarty

Bluetooth Headset recommendation

2021-12-31 Thread mmmat
I am in the market for a Bluetooth earbud headset for my iPhone. I am
interested in some recommendation based on personal experience.

I am looking for a set of earbuds that is around the neck style, easy to use,
has very good battery life, has decent sounds quality and can be used for
making and receiving phone calls. I looked at the reviews of headsets on
Amazon and I would like to get the purchase right the first time.

I had a set of Beats and was not impressed with the battery life. It seamed
that it would only last a few hours and it was more of a pain in the neck then
it was worth. I had a set of LG 780, that had great battery life, but device
was not usable making and receiving phone calls. I have tried Air Buds, but
the battery life is too short and I am concerned about misplacing them to
easily.

Thanks in advance,

Mario

RE: Watch: can't get to the info on screen 2

2021-12-31 Thread Simon A Fogarty
Hi Kay,

I did this when I got my series 7 and found the issue still existed

It was there on my apple watch series 4 with watch os 7 as well,
So it doesn't look like it's on the big issues list.

The thing I would do for sure, is let Apple know that there is an issue with
this and it will take more than one person telling them this to get them to
look in to it.
