Hello, A couple of things to try: * Try holding it at arms-length away from your face, straight out in front of you. * If you are wearing glasses, try with them off. * If you did not register face ID that way, try registering it again. * Try using a microfiber cloth to wipe off the screen.

RE: Having problems with pronunciation corrections

My solution is to not use dictation. You are wanting to create a custom pronunciation and most of the time when you dictate a word, it gives the standard spelling or something useless. Also, check that there isn’t a space being entered if you think the dictation word would be useful.

RE: voice memos query

How do you know it doesn't work? If I play a recording in Voice memos it says "Fast Forward 15 seconds" or "Rewind 15 seconds" and when I double tap it does forward or rewind by the specified 15 second interval. You can check this by checking the scrubber where the current elapsed time is

Having problems with pronunciation corrections

This regards VoiceOver and correcting pronunciations. Specifically I haven't had success using the "dictate substitution" feature. It keeps coming back with "transcription error." This seems to have been the case for months now. Anyone else experiencing this? Any fixes? Jeff The pessimist
