Looks like it requires either cellular or having your iPhone nearby.

There is a compass complication you can add as a widget or a complication to
tell you what direction your facing. I haven't used it myself, but Apple Maps
sounds like it works well on the Apple Watch, including vibrating when you're
coming up to a turn.
Rena, double tap with three fingers to get speech back on. Your phone probably
gets confused, when you run up with three fingers. You can run up with one
finger and double tap on each app closed.

Until two weeks ago when I got my apple watch I would carry my iPhone
in my front pocket and it tracked my steps pretty well.
I haven't tried just carrying my phone while I leave the watch
connected to the charger to see if maybe when the phone and watch are
paired that the step counting is
I know that for now SoundScape is no longer on the app store and I
don't even know if it is available for apple watch.
Is there a similar type of app for the apple Watch which will tell me
what intersections I am approaching and possibly the compass direction
I am pointing while walking?

I recently got an apple watch and want to create a couple of custom
workout types like "kettlebell workout" and "upper-body workout".
So far I haven't foundany good information about whether this is
possible. So far all my workouts are going into the other category
but I would like to be able to
This is probably obvious, but since it’s a toggle, you just need to do another
three finger double tap to turn speech back on.

You don't have to use a 3-finger swipe up to close apps in the app switcher.
Just do a single finger flick up or down and you hear "Delete", then double tap
and the app closes. Once you do this once the selection will stay on delete so
if you continue to double tap as other apps are announced
That means you are accidently double tapping with three fingers, which toggles speech on and off. Richard, USA ——"While striving for perfection, let us do what is possible." — John Wesley(Sent from my iPhone)On Aug 9, 2023, at 11:29 AM, Rena wrote:Hello, Now and then, when I call app switcher,
Hello,
Now and then, when I call app switcher, while I do 3 fingers up to close any
app, I suddenly hear speech off.
What do I do wrong?
How to return to speech on?

Hi,
It has been my experience that with combo boxes, that I had to explore-by-touch
to find the three items to choose from. You can also try what Richard
suggested, but I would just put my finger in the middle of the screen and
search by sliding around and look for it. Once you found one, you
are you sure the box is selected and you are in it?
