I carry mine in a belt pack and it tracks fine.

On a holster on my hip, or sometimes in my pocket.
I was bummed because there was a weekend where I had gone on vacation
somewhere, and my apple watch wasn’t working for some reason, but my
phone was. I had walked about a million steps during those couple
days, but they never registered.

You know what is interesting. I use the health app, but it only works
for me when I’m wearing my watch. If I don’t wear it, my iPhone won’t
pick up my steps. I’m not sure why.
I look at my results on my phone, so I know that the phone is talking
to the watch.
I wonder how I can fix this.

I don’t use it myself, but my wife gets this information out of the
