RE: Inaccurate Dictation, only in I-message

I have an iPhone 10 and I have the same problem. I am very disappointed with
the dictation feature. It used to be better before.

I also have an iPhone 8 and I am experiencing the same problem. It is also
adding words to the sentences that I have not spoken. I’m not sure what is
causing this. I have had an iPhone 5 six and seven and have use cases on all of
them and have never experienced this before. I have even taken it to the Apple
store so that they could see if something was going wrong with the speaker and
according to them the hardware with my phone is great.

iPhone X and case

2018-08-10 Thread pablocmd2014
Hi guys,

I would like to sell my iPhone X 64 Gb, with the charger, the OtterBox
Defender case and 3 laminated glass protectors for iPhone screen. I know
what are the prices for this new device, however my is used for around 5 or
6 months.

Anybody knows for how much can I sell this phone?

Thanks in advance,

RE: Glasses

2018-05-04 Thread pablocmd2014
Opinions are diverse. I don’t use none of these apps, because I don’t like some
of the limitations than a free or pay service has. For example, the paid
services have bunche of rules that limits the use of the service. For example,
if I want to use the glasses to drive a motorcycle the AIRA people will decline
to provide the service because they feel that they could be under some legal
responsibility. Who define Who define what is risky for a blind person?

, what are the parameters to define that something could put a company on risks
because the blind user could has an accident?

I know a guy that runs bycle in London, and other that runs motorcycle in
South Africa. They cannot use these paid services because the companies decline
to give the service for some activities.

They use vOICe, that is free and is a lot more challenging than the AIRA
glasses, but it is free.

Another example, I practice fire arms shooting, also AIRA declined to provide
the service. They believe that because I am blind I am going to shoot myself,
or that I am going to shoot someone else. This opinion is very rude about the
capabilities of blind people. Sighted people are who normally shoot themselves
or other people.

Why because of my blindness I will shoot myself or someone else?

That is stupid.

But it is the landscape of these services. So if you want to pay that money,
you will use it for what they believe you should be able to do.Go to buy food,
walk around, go home, and put water in your plants. Nothing more risky or
nothing that they could consider risky for them. I don’t know if we are going
to prepare some Tabule, are they going to feel that you might cut your fingers
with the knife?

I found a totally better solution. I didn't want to pay for them glasses either
so I decided to go a better route. I got myself a hat with a mount on the top
of it that allows me to mount my iphone onto it and use Be My Eyes with a lot
more better certainty because the camera never moves and it's very stable. Many
of the volunteers are so eager to help that they don't mind helping you in the
long sessions as long as you tell them what it's for and why you're doing it.
Whenever I start a call using Be My Eyes I always say that I'm going to do such
and such and I need help with it and it's going to take such and such time.
Most of the time the volunteers are excited to help you and they don't care. I
think this is a much cheaper option and it looks kind of cool. All of my cited
friends think it's neat and they're always very impressed at how well I get
around using this. I also have a pair of bone conducting headphones that allows
me the ability to hear not only my surrounding area with my ears but here the
agent on the other end just fine. It's a lot better than paying for $300 a
month for an unlimited plan for stupid pair of glasses! I think that that
company is price gouging I'm sorry but it's true and if you want to go ahead
and be upset I understand but I'm just telling the truth. Every single time a
company comes out with something that caters to blind people they love price
gouging us. Well this is my method of fixing the problem and it works just fine
for me. U2 should give it a try. I hope this helps someone. Take care

I find the Aira agents to be especially capable and helpful. There certainly is
a cost. I subscribe at the lowest level. I’ve found them to be very much worth
the money. Overall, I’ve saved money from asking for help for someone to come
to my home or office to read materials and other things. I’ve needed them at
odd hours; having an immediate response has been invaluable. Examples: at 10:00
PM identifying printer cartridges with low ink and assisting me to change them;
reading labels from medication bottles.

Hi Sandy,
No, apple hasn't done anything on this market yet. It is a new market and it is
not profitable yet. However there are ways to use your phone as a smart glass.
It is what I did and what I do when I want to use a better camera and the
compass.
Google has 2 great ideas about this. There is the google cardboard. It is a
simple peace of cardboard that you are going to use on your eyes. You pay for
it, it is around $15 on amazon, and they come already folded and ready to use.
Also if you want you can pay for the head straps that are going to hold the
google cardboard on your head because you will need to put your iPhone inside
the google cardboard. This choice has pros and cons.
Pros: it is the cheapest choice, and for learning is great due to the low cost.
Cons:
They are a little bit uncomfortable, and they are not very durable.
Now, here is the best choice that I have found, and they are what I use when I
need to do activities with a lot of movement. The google daydream. The cost is
100 dollars. Don't buy the google daydream first edition. Google released a
newer version on October 2017, and it is the best. In the google daydream
second edition or google daydream view you will put your iPhone, and you are
able to do what you want. This device is made with fiber so it is more
comfortable, also it comes with 3 straps so it will not fall.
What are the pros and cons?
Pros: it is cheaper than any other smart glass, and you are able to put an
iPhone also.
It is made in fiber so it is more comfortable.
Cons:
This is a virtual reality headset, so the camera will be cover. However what I
did and what many other blind people have done is ask someone to help you doing
a hole on the google daydream on the area where the iPhone camera lens will be.
I use the google daydream when I am on activities with a lot of movement. The
vision 800 glasses are fashion but they are also fragile, so I don't use them
when I need to run or move a lot.

RE: Using Smart Glasses with apps on the phone?

2018-03-22 Thread pablocmd2014
Hi Sandy,
No, apple hasn't done anything on this market yet.

Hi Sandy,
This is a technology that I am using. I am still learning, but I know guys that
are running bykes and motorcycles using this technology.
Take a look to this web page.
https://www.seeingwithsound.com/

I used to practice fire arms shooting when I was sighted. Today being totally
blind I am able to practice without direct assistance, and also I have my
conceal permit. These technology allowed me to identify landscapes, the
shooting target, and pass my conceal permit test.

Hi,

I have been toying with the idea of buying some smart glasses, not those
for low vision users, but the ones which take video. I am thinking they could
be useful with apps like Be My Eyes or Seeing AI, BiSpecular or Periscope. I
don't want to invest in Aira (if that is spelt right) I prefer to buy some off
the shelf ones, like those from PivotHead, which are much cheaper and seem to
be better technology. Using just my phone for assistance, wlking around with it
directed in front of me, looks like an invitation to be mugged! I'd even mug
myself!! But with some discrete glasses, I would be less vulnerable, plus, I
would get info on where my face was directed, instead of having to manage the
phone with a cane or dog as well.

So, has anyone gone down this route? Does anyone know which glasses will
work with apps on the phone? All and any info most welcome!

Sandy.

How to remove pictures from my iPhone

2018-03-20 Thread pablocmd2014
Hi all,

I have tried to remove some hundreds of pictures that I have on my iPhone. I
disable the picture sharing through iCloud, and also I stopped the upload
of pictures from iCloud to my iPhone and vice versa.

However I don't know how to remove the physical pictures from my iPhone.
They are hundreds, and I can't delete one by one. Is there an efficient way
to do this?

I am posting the article because it is iOS-related and there may be those among

Best adult apps for iPhone
By Jen Karner

You might not know it but there are plenty of adult apps available on the iOS
store.
When it comes to adult content on mobile devices, there are a variety of apps
that you can find to enjoy. From apps that help you to try and improve your sex
life, to those that help explain exactly what all those crazy sex toys do,
there are plenty of awesome apps filled up with adult content.
While the App Store isn't overflowing with adult content, there are a fair few
apps you can find, so long as you know what you are looking for.

. iKamaSutra
. Pinup Poker
. Playboy Classic
. iPassion

iKamaSutra
The Kama Sutra is well known for it's catalog of sexual positions, but you
don't need to worry about anyone stumbling on this book in your library.
Instead, you can download the app and get access to everything you're looking
for. iKamaSutra. This app includes all of the positions found within the Kama
Sutra with some extra options for you.
You can choose to look for potiions based on intimacy, complexity, and
strength, using slider scales to find positions that you are capable of
completing. There are positions from movie scenes, 9 categories for you to
peruse through, and easy to read instructions for each position. The basic app
comes with 110 positions, but with in-app purchases you can increase this to
over 230 positions. You can even shake your phone to pick a random position,
save your favorites, there are even suggestions for sweet and sexy date ideas
in there.

Pinup Poker
Not every app on our list is explicit, even though it's definitely got adults
in mind. That's where Pinup Poker comes in. You get to play Poker with a decent
engine, all the while getting a eyeful of cards that have been decorated with
pinup models. There aren't really any bells or whistles to this app, which is
why it's available for the low, low, price of free. This app is a great
addition for anybody who enjoys poker, but wants to add some animated eye candy
to the game.

Playboy Classic
Playboy has long been a staple when it comes to adult oriented entertainment.
Their app delivers you tons of content that you would have found in the
magazine a few years ago, just this time it's on the screen of your preferred
device. You can browse through photos of playmates, read articles, and even
view galleries of classic cartoons from the earlier days of the magazine. There
is roughly a ton of content crammed into this app for you to view and explore.
Playboy Classic is subscription based, with a 30-day membership running $2.99,
or a one-year subscription for $19.99. Updated daily with new photos, events,
and articles, this may be the app you've been looking for!

Hello,
I just installed Seeing AI a couple of days ago, and so far I like what I find.
However, when I scroll through the list of available channels, the two
channels I was most interested in ("currency" and "product" are missing.

Currency is in the settings but just not in the list of channels.

Could this be because I am using an IPhone 5? I think I saw that the app wasn't
suppo rted on anything less than IPhone 5c, but I am not goingto upgrade for
this one app :-)

Thanks in advance for any information,
Don

look at "the Voice". I am not sure they have an iPhone app, but they do have
Android. It creates a soundscape where higher pitch is upward, lower is
downward, objects either to the left or right will appear in the soundscape in
that relative position. objects of brighter color or luminosity will be louder.

I have on the video an object, let us say that it is a picture on the wall. If
the picture is just on the middle of the screen, the level of audio is balance
between the left and right audio channel. But if the camera moves a little bit
to the right, then the picture will be more to the left on the screen. The left
audio channel will make a louder than the right audio channel. Something very
similar than the way how our echo ears works. If someone is in front of us,
yelling something, our ears are going to hear their voice at the same volume in
both ears. But if we move our head a little bit to the right, the audio is
going to be louder on our left ear than in our right ear.

Now, what I am looking is an app that will detect an object, and if the object
is on the center of the video, the audio will be in balance between right and
left audio channels. The volume of the channels will change if the object moves
on the screen.

Is there any app able to do this?

object location app

2018-01-07 Thread pablocmd2014
Hello all,

I am wondering if any body knows and app able to inform location of objects
on the video. Let me try to describe an example, probably it will be more
explanatory than my question.

I have on the video an object, let us say that it is a picture on the wall.
If the picture is just on the middle of the screen, the level of audio is
balance between the left and right audio channel. But if the camera moves a
little bit to the right, then the picture will be more to the left on the
screen. The left audio channel will make a louder than the right audio
channel. Something very similar than the way how our echo ears works. If
someone is in front of us, yelling something, our ears are going to hear
their voice at the same volume in both ears. But if we move our head a
little bit to the right, the audio is going to be louder on our left ear
than in our right ear.

Now, what I am looking is an app that will detect an object, and if the
object is on the center of the video, the audio will be in balance between
right and left audio channels. The volume of the channels will change if the
object moves on the screen.

Is there any app able to do this?

LOL, apology… Yeah right! If they really want to show remorse, they would give
us the ability to toggle the throttling on or off. Good luck getting them to do
that though.

RE: Bluetooth keyboards on iPhone X and IOs 11.2

2017-12-04 Thread pablocmd2014
I found on a web page some tips to fix the Bluetooth problems in IOs 11.x.
However after I fixed my problem, I am finding that the problem reappear if I
try to use the Bluetooth keyboard in a different app. Then I had to turn off
the keyboard, and turn it on again. I have found a lot of pages talking about
this problem, and I am a little bit surprise that none of you have this problem?
How often you use a Bluetooth keyboard?

It was released yesterday morning as far as I know.

Of course nobody will report any bluetooth issues in iOS 11.2 because just like
all other Apple hardware and software it is perfect, there are no bugs like in
Android and all that.

Pablo, admit it, you hate Android and you love Apple.

OK, for all who don’t know how Pablo and I “love” each other, this is all just
in good fun.

Pablo of course accuses me of always defending Apple and of always buying the
latest which of course is the reason why Pablo has an iPhone X and I have the
much newer and superior iPhone 6S Plus… wait, I got that wrong, the 6S Plus is
2 years old, sorry, Pablo, you are wrong *smile*.

Sieghard,

I never left the list.

Why I am going to leave the apple word.

You know how much I enjoy pocking fun on you.

As I have told you that I have several apple devices at home, and also I have
several android devices at home. Is good that both sides exist because neither
apple or android were going to improve without competition.

I have found some pages saying that IOs 11.12 had some problems with the
Bluetooth connection. They advise to restore the iPhone, but it is something
that I already did, and now I have IOs 11.2. However I haven’t seen anybody
saying anything about the Bluetooth on IOs 11.2, but it was release a few days
ago.

Let us wait to see if anybody reports something.

Pablo, welcome back to the wonderful world of iOS, after your last trip down
Apple Street I thought you’d stay in Android Land forever. I don’t have a fancy
new iPhone X or even an 8 or 8 Plus, but on my trusty 6S Plus my Logitech K780
keyboard works fine. Have you checked on Applevis if there is any advice on
what might be going on here?

I know Mario posted something about “editing issues using bluetooth keyboards
on the iPhone 8/8 Plus”, but I’m not sure what exactly he is referring to. I
don’t use my keyboard all that much, but I have definitely used it to write
some emails and such and it seems to work fine.

Yes, I have tried pressing on the apple keyboard the right and left key
simultaneously enabling and disabling the quick navigation mode.

The sound is always the same, like an beep error.

Are you sure you have the quick Nav turned off. If you press the left and
right arrow keys together it will say quick Nav off or on. Press it again if
it says quick Nav on.

I don’t know, but if I pair the keyboards to my apple TV, they work fine.

iPhone X uses Bluetooth 5, so I don’t think it is a problem.

Hi,

Just came across these Zolo Liberty+ earbuds, they are I believe made by Anker
or at least the guy who started Anker is involved somehow.

I didn’t see them yet on Amazon.ca, but you can preorder them on Amazon.com for
$99 and it says they will be available on November 29 which is just 2 days away.

They were offered via Kickstarter campagne as well this summer.

If anybody buys them I hope they’ll post a review, here is the link on Amazon:

Technology and 24 Hours Battery Life, Sweatproof Total-Wireless Earbuds with
Smart AI

looking for recommendations about single Headset

2017-11-24 Thread pablocmd2014
Hello all,

Happy thanksgivings for all who celebrated this holiday Yesterday.

I am looking for recommendations about a Bluetooth single headset that goes
hugged around the ear, not in the ear or over the ear. I have a Plantronic
Legend but I have been using this device since I had my iPhone 4, and I
thought that maybe is time to replace it.

Which single headset that goes around the ear do you recommend?

Thanks for all,
