Hi Richard,
When I flip the switch, I get nothing. I can’t ask Siri anything. I’ve tried
the three finger double tap, and still nothing.

Hey all,

First, thank you guys for the number for Apple accessibility. That problem is
fixed. Now, however, my new iPhone has completely frozen. No voiceover, no
sound, but the home button still feels like I can push it. I’m guessing the
power is still on? I have no idea what to do. I had just finished using
Facebook messenger. The old phone that I’m using at the moment still works. Any
help would be very much appreciated.

2022-12-16 Thread Donna Casteen
Are you sure the phone battery isn't dead? Is the phone actually turned on. The Se 2020 series phones don't have an actual "press" Home button. The Home Button is a "touch" button. Have you tried plugging in a pair of headphones to see if the volume is completely lowered? My guess is that the phone is powered off or the battery is completely dead. DonnaI just tried calling myself from my Alexa device. It rang twice and went to voicemail. See if you can answer the phone either with the two finger double tap if
VoiceOver is on, or the one finger swipe left to right near the bottom of the
screen.

Once answered, see if you can do anything.

I would assume you already rebooted it with the quick press and release of
volume up, then volume down and then holding the power button for at least 10
seconds.

Then, wait for it to come back, or plug and unplug it after a couple of minutes
if nothing speaks.

Plug it in and wait a while.

It sounds like it is dead.

If you have already done that, then perhaps calling Apple Accessibility again.
