The braille pen slim is keyboard for braille input only if i remember
correctly. The braille pen 12 has the keyboard for braille input plus a 12-cell
display.

The Braillepen slim is simply a Braille keyboard with no display.
The Braillepen 12 has a 12 cell display along with a braille keyboard.

I would not leave it plugged in over night in case it actually is getting
too warm and perhaps over heat to a dangerous level.
It should only take about 2 to 4 hours to fully charge I
I also used a demo unit at one point to check it out. I think it took
about 3 hours as Richard said to charge. I did leave it overnight at
one time to charge, and it was fine. However, I wouldn't recommend
doing that on a regular basis for the reason you mentioned in your
