issue with visual voicemail

2020-10-19 Thread stewart

hi:

i am using the last download of IOS 13 and have an Iphone eight. i have
noticed that when Siri started having issues with the sports and things,
my voice mail is also having issues.  Siri no longer gives me my
voicemails and tells me it looks like it hasn't been setup, which it
is.  i also have a  physical check voicemail button that i didn't have
before.  could this be because i haven't updated to fourteen yet? just
in case anyone is wondering, i did write to apple and have heard nothing
back from them.  any help is appreciated.

Re: Visual voicemail

2019-01-15 Thread Deidre Muccio
I'm still not sure that that's enough. I think you can test it out try getting
that greeting at the top of the screen and listen for the Messages to download
when you have cellular data just turned on after it's been off. If you have
unlimited data and under cellular data you have it set to allow The mail app to
make use of it, then those messages will automatically download. And also you
might wanna have notifications on if you're not listening for the sound effects.

The only way a visual voicemail will show is if you have cellular data on. This
took me a long time to figure out when I first got my iPhone. And my carrier
had no clue either except finally one person at Verizon gave me the info I
needed. Deidre

visual voicemail

2016-11-22 Thread Billy Maynard

hi everyone,
on another topic about consumer celular they talked about not having visual
voicemail. but, another member said that you still have your voicemails on
your phone. I was just wondering the differences it these. I'm on Verizon
and I have a tab in the phone ap at the bottom called voicemail I
double-tap it and it lets me into my voicemails, greeting etc. I was just
curious how the consumer celular experience would be different since they
sound similar.

It's the dialog that comes up when you double tap the share button.
It'll give you the various sharing options.

The share sheet is what you access when you double tap a share button
throughout iOS. For example open a website in Safari and there is a
share button at the bottom of the screen on an iPhone and somewhere at
the top on an iPad.

RE: A Quick Reminder about Visual Voicemail in iOS 9.x

2015-10-17 Thread Rose Combs
OK, I understand, but I do not see how this applies to visual voicemail, I
don't wish to share my voice mail with anyone, or at least so far I have not
wished to do so.
What is the point?

The share sheet is what you access when you double tap a share button
throughout iOS. For example open a website in Safari and there is a
share button at the bottom of the screen on an iPhone and somewhere at
the top on an iPad.

RE: Visual voicemail question

2013-11-15 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Doug,

Visual Voicemail is a feature your carrier has to add to your account. I
just signed up for it to try it and after it was added to my account I now
just double tap the Voicemail tab at the bottom right of the Phone app and
it's like an Inbox where my Voicemails are listed, there is a More button
for each where I have buttons to call back etc. and of course there is a
Play button, works like a charm.

Regards,
Sieghard

Subject: lost my visual voicemail today, how do I get it back?

Hi there. The subject pretty well says it. I was going to check voicemail
today, got a couple in the queue I need to deal with, and the phone puts me
into old fashion voicemail that's not the visual stuff. I have restored a
backup from a previous 4S because the old one was broke and went back to
Apple. I entered my pin into the settings when I realized that the backup
didn't hold that, but now in the phone settings, there's not even the change
pin option. Am I stuck factory resetting and having more security keys lost
again? Paypal is going to think something suspicious of me because I like to
use the extra factor and I'm losing a lot of keys, one from going from 4
to 5 on the Touch, a couple restoring from apps going nuts, now I have a
different device, etc, so I need to minimize the restoring. How can I get my
VV back?
