I was going to ask exactly the same question. I've found it exactly as you
said, but how do we know what to put for the server part? Is there a way we can
find out.

For you I don't know when it's going to be since you using Google or your
iCloud so it would have to find that information out.

Hi all
Thanks for the information I've just looked for CardDav in the App Store and
it's not there. The only one remotely similar is something called All Sync 2.
Any ideas? Has anyone heard of this app?

This all sounds really good. So is this CardDav something you have to get from
the App Store?, or is it already available on my phone or IPad? Is there any
chance you could e-mail across some full/idiot-proof instructions so I can get
it set up to sync everything to Google Contacts? Also, what
Like I said, I don't use a Mac or iCloud. I just use Google Contacts on
my iPhone and other devices.

Sorry, I didn't read the whole thread closely enough. Using CardDav,
which like I said is now part of the Mail apps Gmail support, will sync
your contacts between your Gmail account on your phone and Google
Contacts in the cloud. It won't sync between iCloud and Google Contacts.

The IOS Mail app supports CardDav (note the correct spelling) natively
when setting up a Gmail account. Just make sure Contacts is selected and
it'll be using CardDav. If you want this to be your default, such as
when you're creating a new contact, make sure Gmail is set as your

The way I did this was so easy and simple and works well. Go into
settings and where it says contacts, mail accounts. Choose to set up an
other account and select cardav. You put your Google account information
there and it moves everything over. Any time you update on Google, it
also updates
Hi all
I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I want to try to make sure that all my
contacts are completely synced between my ICloud and Gmail accounts, so that
they will all work regardless of what device I'm using and so that they're all
up-to-date/contain the same information and there
