Hello,
No you do not need the meter to read the freestyle libra sensors. All you need
is the freestyle libra link app on your iPhone. It will read the sensor just
fine. The app is very useable.

Hi. I have been using the 14 day free style libre system for about 3 months
now. I can tell you that the iPhone app is very accessible. You do not need the
reader at all.! I did not purchase the reader because it is not useful for
blind users. I am in the review stage for my insurance provider t

No, the scanner is only necessary if you do not have an iPhone 7 or later. The
iPhone 7 and later have the NFC sensor built-in that can read the sensors in
the patches.

Were several sensors out there. The ones that I have looked at voiceover is
totally compatible with the app so that should not be a problem reading it at
all. Do not go to Dario. The little mirror that hooks to the phone is great,
however, the app is totally unusable and they don’t care at this
I would like some clarification..It is my understanding that the Freestyle
Libre scanner/reader is needed. The scanner reads the blood glucose level from
the sensor & the result is transmitted to the iPhone app via bluetooth.
Hopefully, someone who uses the Freestyle Libre will chime in.

Hi Kathy,
This is referring I believe to the freestyle libre sensor. For Dora outlier did
a couple of podcasts. Generally, when your doctor prescribes it, they prescribe
the reader, which is useless to blind people, and the sensors. So what we need
is just the sensor, skip the reader. If insuran
Greg Watcher had said he uses it everyday and it is accessible.
I believe it requires at least an iPhone 7 because of the sensor requirements.

A friend of mine has been recently diagnosed, and she’s having trouble testing
in the usual way. Has anyone had luck using voiceover with the app I have heard
about that you wear a patch for 14 days and the app gets the results through it?
