Yes, Google Reader is a dedicated RSS reader. I don't know that it has the
ability to send out emails. It's interface is web based, but it has an API
that clients can use to sync your feeds with, so feeds you've read on one
client will be marked
to the blind going away? Really?

though I use my pc a lot, I’ve gotte to the point where I reach for my phone
or iPad to sift through the various rss entries as much as I do through the
computer. This is really going to suck.

To some extent, you can use Twitter lists to do what RSS feeds do. For
example I have a general news list

It's hard to argue that the relevance of RSS hasn't diminished somewhat
over the years, but with the rise of social networking and just the

True, but the Google Reader API is the only accessible way I know of to sync
feeds between a computer and a mobile device. Granted
