Re: A Bluetooth Question

During a call, there should be a button on the call screen to select output
device.

One option was Bluetooth headphones, or in reality, Bluetooth speakers,
headphones, etc.
The only other option would be after the call starts, to open the control
center and see if you can select your speakers from the media destination.
Or maybe just open Bluetooth settings and select the speaker.

Or, like you already said, it could be a Bose issue.
I'd contact bose if the other things do not work.

In answer to your question, I can initiate a call with the speaker. But it
still comes through the phone when the other party answers.

In answer to your question, I can initiate a call with the speaker. But it
still comes through the phone when the other party answers.

RE: A Bluetooth question, and the story that prompted it

2019-11-29 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Here is an article from The Verge why you get that prompt about allowing
Bluetooth so often now in iOS 13:

Here’s why so many apps are asking to use Bluetooth on iOS
13<https://www.theverge.com/2019/9/19/20867286/ios-13-bluetooth-permission-privacy-feature-apps>

As for the Voiceover disappearing issue in the car, I would simply disconnect
the car’s audio since it sounds like you aren’t really using it. Since I assume
you aren’t the one driving you might as well take any calls just on your phone.

If you do not plan to use a given app with bluetooth, say no when it asks.
Also, does the car show up in your bluetooth setting?
If so, double tap on the More Info and forget the device"
Or check the Car Play settings and turn it off there.
Then, it won't connect 'when you get in the car.
It's rather annoying.

So, here's the question: Why do some aps ask to have bluetooth turned on?
And is it really necessary if I'm not trying to connect to my laptop or some

Re: A Bluetooth question, and the story that prompted it

2019-11-29 Thread Richard Turner
If you do not plan to use a given app with bluetooth, say no when it asks.
Also, does the car show up in your bluetooth setting?
If so, double tap on the More Info and forget the device"
Or check the Car Play settings and turn it off there.
Then, it won't connect 'when you get in the car.
It's rather annoying.

So, here's the question: Why do some aps ask to have bluetooth turned on?
And is it really necessary if I'm not trying to connect to my laptop or some

RE: Another Bluetooth question...

2016-01-15 Thread Rose Combs
Well, based on the fact that I don’t know the layout of the Aftershockz
earphones, I can’t find out if they even work, then I have not figured out how
to connect them, maybe because I can’t seem to locate the power button.

Would have helped had Tom been here to offer even weak eyes, but he is I hope
in a better place.

I won’t get an apple watch, not yet anyway, I know I’d not figure it out. So
frustrating since 10 years ago or more I could figure things out with little
direction.

I need to get something to work, I know I got a Focus 14 started easily last
January so why am I having trouble now. I don’t even know where to go,
Bluetooth under settings is no help, not seeing anything but the two devices I
have hooked up, the Bose speaker and the Focus 14. Even looked at a book but
what they are explaining and what I am seeing on the phone are not matching up!
I know I have done this before in a matter of seconds.

CRS is a royal pain, never figured I’d get it! Then the last couple of years
have been very stressful so why not!

2016-01-14 Thread Christopher Chaltain
You also have to make sure the bluetooth device is in pairing mode. Once
it is, it should show up in your list of devices you can connect to from
your iPhone. Once it's in the list, you can just double tap it and it
might pair automatically, but depending on the device you may need to
enter a code.
