Carol did you try what I suggested, just rebooting voiceover not your phone.  
Do your triple click to turn voiceover off then repeat to turn it back on.  
This is what has helped me.

I was having this problem horribly until I updated to 8.3. I'm very glad it 
happens extremely rarely, and as othehs have mentioned, I just restart 
Voiceover. I did a number of things to my iPod because of other issues, one of 
which was to completely reset it and not restore from a backup. I don't know if 
it's the 8.3 update or doing the reset or both, but technology is strange that 
way, and it's hard to know which solution works when you throw several at a 
device at the same time, as I did.

Carol, here's hoping the Voiceover restart resolves things for you. :)

Well it seems most people have their problems resolved now. I was advised to 
unpair  the keyboard and then repair it once again. The first time I tried to 
use it, I ran into the same  problem again! However, I have to admit that it 
hasn't happened since. I wrote to accessibility and informed them that I would 
give them another update in two weeks time, so meantime I am using the keyboard 
spasmodically to see if it stands up following this repairing. I was also very 
glad that I found it did work to turn voice-over off and on again when this did 
happen on that first occasion. If this is true all the time, I am happy enough, 
I guess!

I also have the double letters problem. I am using iPhone 5 with Microsoft BT 
keyboard running latest 8.3. 

 

As for me, turned off the KB and the phone; removed the KB and repaired it 
again still did not work. However, sometime it was OK. I do not have any 
sequence or way to ensure it works when I need it. It is very inconvenience.

HI all,

 

Has anyone had any further bluetooth keyboard problems since upgrading to iOS 
8.3?  The ones I'm talking about are where you get double letters etc.

 

I don't use my keyboard very often, but when I do it's because I really need to!

 

I have so far had two occasions when this has happened to me again and the only 
way out appears to be to reboot the phone, turn off the keyboard and start all 
over again.  As you don't know when this is going to happen, it's still an 
inconvenience to me and I'm about to write Apple's Accessibility team once 
again.  I just thought I'd ask first.

 

I really thought this was sorted and so was very disappointed when first I saw 
it recur once again.

Carol,

I do have the problem from time to time, but, and I have my fingers crossed 
here, but a tripple tap of the home button, turning off Vo and then another 
tripple tap to turn it back on seems to work for me. Much less bother than what 
you are doing. I am running 8.3 on an iPhone 6 and using an Apple BT keyboard.

Carol, you don't need to reboot the phone, pair the keyboard again 
etc. When I sometimes get the double letters, I quickly turn 
Voiceover off and back on with Home button triple press.

OK, I have had it suggested that I should un-pair and re-pair the keyboard.

Have you by any chance done this since last having a problem?

with a Logitech Keys-to-go keyboard here, the rare times the doubling 
happens, turning Voiceover off and back on fixes it.

As for me, turned off the KB and the phone; removed the KB and 
repaired it again still did not work. However, sometime it was OK. I

I have so far had two occasions when this has happened to me again 
and the only way out appears to be to reboot the phone, turn off the 
keyboard and start all over again.  As you don't know when this is 
going to happen, it's still an inconvenience to me and I'm about to 
write Apple's Accessibility team once again.  I just thought I'd ask first.


I really thought this was sorted and so was very disappointed when 
first I saw it recur once again.
