memory. No Apple TV. Just looking for alternative to cable. Mostly listen to
msnbc, CNN, and discovery channels as fit/health and investigation and history.

Yes, you do need a subscription for these services. I don't think Hulu is
available in Canada so I can't comment on the accessibility of their app,
but the Netflix app does definitely have it's challenges. It does, however,
work rather well on the Apple TV so if you have one of these

In regards to memory this is something you won't have to worry because
nothing will be downloaded in to your phone since this 2 apps all they
do is let you stream.
Netflix is mostly use for movies and tv shows.
Hulu, is mostly use to stream mostly tv shows and up to date content.
