Re: Question Regarding The Ring Doorbell App

Hi,
I believe you can assign different chimes or sounds to different devices at
least for the doorbells and chimes. I haven’t any of the spotlight cams so
can’t speak to them directly.

Yes, this happens here as well. The problem is that for whatever reason, the
audio output switches to the ear piece and on top of that, the volume is
reduced quite a bit. I've learned to automatically put the phone to my ear and
raise the volume with the volume button. It's annoying for sure.

OK thanks. I may check it out again. It's my alarm center that installed it
as we just upgraded our system and since we couldn't get it to work he didn't
charge me but I can have him come back and give it another try.

Re: Question Regarding The Ring Doorbell App

2018-02-07 Thread Robin Frost
Hi,
And I’ve found that when in the app while swiping through some elements don’t
verbalize properly and I did tweet at them politely about this but I found if
you swipe right and then left VoiceOver will compensate by saying “possible
text” and telling you what it might be. It isn’t perfect but wasn’t a deal
breaker for me; and this morning motion alert allowed me to catch my mail
carrier in time so it was worth every dollar I spent on it. It would be nice if
somehow you could receive an email or push alert if it loses its connectivity
to your wi-fi network and I suggested that it be a user defined choice were
they to implement it as it might impact battery life for those of us who had to
go with a completely wireless setup. Still and all though I do like the product
in its current state and am glad to have it.
Robin

RE: Question Regarding The Ring Doorbell App

2018-02-07 Thread Carla
When it gave the notification it took me forever to find the right place to
double tap. I know it is on the top of the screen and the installer told me it
was a green button which didn't do me any good lol! I mean it wasn't an easy
access at all to get in to and to get out of. He took it back but I would get
another one if we could make it work.

I do use it and it works OK, it has a few quirks, but all in all it works OK.
What exactly is the issue you have?

Subject: Question Regarding The Ring Doorbell App

Is anyone using the Ring Doorbell App? I got one but find it not easy to work.
Any help with voiceover with this app would be greatly appreciated. If it
isn't going to work I need to know soon. Thanks!
