For me I seem to have the volume issues when I have audioducking off. As soon as I turn it on the problem goes away. I'm going to email accessibility at apple. The only trouble is I don't know how to pinpoint when the problem occurs, only how to resolve it. The trouble is I don't like audioducking, but I seem to be stuck with it. Re: Volume adjustments under iOS8
I too have the issue with audio ducking turned off. I mostly have audio ducking off anyway, turning it on only when I absolutely have to hear speech. Most of the time I can hear and mostly understand both VoiceOver speech and another form of audio. This depends on the audio though, such as loud music. Anyway, it is hard to tell when the volume is going to go bonkers. Yesterday I had turned my VoiceOver volume down low at work, but hwen I locked my phone, the phone lock sound seemed to be much louder than VO speech. Volume adjustments under iOS8
Hi All, I'm running the latest iOS on an iPhone 6 and have been noticing some odd behavior with regard to volume control. There are times when the volume of sounds gets very, very loud while the volume of other output like VO or music or audio books remains at the level to which I previously set it. If I attempt to adjust using the volume controls, only the audio and VO are changed while the volume of the sounds remains uncomfortably loud. This is especially disruptive when I'm using headphones. The only way to fix the issue seems to be to turn off the sounds altogether. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Is there some way to adjust the various volume levels independently one from another? Thanks for any ideas or suggestions. Kimber -- Kimberly -- The following information is important for all members of the viphone list. All new members to the this list are moderated by default.
