I have an iPhone six. I have Wi-Fi calling turned on on yet and my current iPhone. I can receive calls on the iPhone 6 and actually answer calls but I can’t make calls from that iPhone. The iPhone 6 hacks as an extension of my current iPhone.Sent from my iPhoneOn Oct 26, 2023, at 10:52 AM, Robert

Whis will depend on how you have wi-fi configured. I don’t have wi-fi set up to
join an unknown network automatically. I don’t think there would be any more of
a security issue than placing a regular phone call, but I’m not sure.

If you have Wi-Fi calling on or off and if you can use w-fil calling should you
have that turned on like if you are at home

Or should you just turn it off and use our cellular network?

It has recently been noted in discussions that when you change your Wi-Fi
calling from off to on you see a change at the top in your status bar where it
says the name of your carrier along with Wi-Fi network where it used to just
say the name of the carrier. I just noticed this morning that now

Mary,
Here in the UK WiFi calling only appears in the top status bar when you are
connected to WiFi, and, the handset has switched to the WiFi element of the
service.
So
Is Wi-Fi calling, the same thing as hotspot.

No it allows you to make and receive cellular calls over wifi. No this
is not Facetime but rather a carrier specific feature.
