Re: WiFi Status

2014-04-29 Thread Alan Paganelli
It should say something like 2 of 3 WI-FI bars. Mine usually says 3 of 3
WI-FI bars. If I walk out to the end of our driveway then it will say 2 of
3 WI-FI bars. Note: you can send and receive mail with 1 of 3 WI-FI bars.

RE: WiFi Status

Hello Les,

Another thing to look for which could help you determine if you are
connected to your wi-fi network is when you are in the Wi-Fi setting screen,
VO should say selected before announcing the name of said network. If it
doesn't, you are likely not connected. However, the absence of a Wi-Fi
identification in the status bar is a dead giveaway.

Re: WiFi Status

2014-04-24 Thread Les Kriegler
DJ, I may have been mistaken. When I hear my Wi-Fi network announced, is
announced after the signal strength information is given. I probably didn't
wait long enough. What is confusing is that when I see my carrier, that is
spoken on a separate line. So my guess is, I was connected but didn't wait long
enough to hear the name of the Wi-Fi network.
