A bluetooth pairing question

Hello listers, Today, I picked up a bluetooth earpiece by Jabra on sale. When I paired it, although voiceOver said it was paired, I couldn't get anything to play through the earPiece. There's only one button on the divice, and it will answer calls, but nothing else. I've done a google search
