RE: What Does Prepared Dimmed Mean?

2020-09-17 Thread Simon A Fogarty
Shirley,

I myself would use the eraise all option and that of course will mean you have
to reset up your watch from scratch.

If you do this then you can reset the watch up and use an older backup from
the earlier os versions.

If you eraise and setup as a new device then you have to turn voiceover on once
the watch has finishe it's setup and is ready to be used.

If you setup using a backup of the older watch os then everything you had
working in that version should be the same once the installation / backup reset
is completed.

Hope this helps.

RE: What Does Prepared Dimmed Mean?

2020-09-17 Thread Simon A Fogarty
Yes you can turn the volume of the watch voiceover down even though the watch
app on the phone says its at 100%

So tap the tips of two fingers twice on the screen and then slide those two
fingers up the screen to increase the watch volume.

I've turned vo on my watch down to zero % and the phone watch app still says
80%

It may take a couple of attempts to increase the o watch volume so try it more
than once,

Two fingers tap twice and slide up / push the tips up the screen.

I have pressed the crown 3 times and I get a sound supposedly when voiceover is
on but it's not a voice. Can voiceover become muted on the watch and if so, how
do you turn it off? Yes, I have the watch app on my phone. You can't pair a
watch unless the app is on your phone. I hear my alarms go off and the chimes.
Just no voice.

Re: What Does Prepared Dimmed Mean?

2020-09-17 Thread Shirley Baker
I have pressed the crown 3 times and I get a sound supposedly when voiceover is
on but it's not a voice. Can voiceover become muted on the watch and if so, how
do you turn it off? Yes, I have the watch app on my phone. You can't pair a
watch unless the app is on your phone. I hear my alarms go off and the chimes.
Just no voice.

In the watch app under general should be the reset feature
It's at the bottom or to the bottom of the list of things under watch.
Have you tried turning the volume of the watch up by tapping your fingers on

so have you got the watch app on your phone?

If so you can unpair the watch there, apple accessibility should have said that,

Also you should be able to turn vo on / off from within the watch app also.

Subject: What Does Prepared Dimmed Mean?

When updating my apple watch, I get preparing dimmed. What does that mean and
how do I get past that to update my watch? I have already updated my iPhone 6S
plus to 14.0 with no problems except for trying to update my watch. My keyboard
is doing a lot better too.

Re: What Does Prepared Dimmed Mean?

2020-09-17 Thread Wayne Merritt
Shirley,
"Prepared, dimmed," simply means the device is preparing to update. I
can't speak for what is actually happening, but I take this to mean
the downloaded software update files are being unpacked and sorted so
the install process can continue. The dimmed just means it is a button
that is not available or that you cannot activate. If it says
preparing dimmed, then take some time to do something else while the
update/unpacking/install process happens for you.

Be well,
Wayne Merritt
